I launched the Choose Your Own Misadventure wiki on July 1st, 2008. We are currently in preparation mode before we begin advertising in various places on the web. The CYOM wiki takes after the Choose Your Own Adventure stories, a series of books for young adults which featured branching storylines in which you navigated the narrator through absurd or surreal situations. Wiki format, in which anyone can write new pages and create the story as they go, lends itself well to this format of fiction.

My goal is to create a funny, easy-to-access, silly, entertaining interactive fiction site. I have learned from others' attempts to make interactive storylines in the wiki format, and have implemented structural guidelines to ensure that each story isn't rife with broken links and dead ends, and comes to a coherent conclusion. I hope to build this site and this community over time, ensuring that we explore this innovative use of technology.
