Quote
"Those people" are the ones that fantasize about changing the world, or even their own way of living, but instead prefer the safety of the internet and indoors. They are some of us, and they are the majority of idealist. They either don't know how to act or simply don't want to. A waste of good minds.

2.)  'Fraid that doesn't make any sense...

Yes it does, I described the people I mean when I say "Those people."
Oh.

I was referring to something completely different.

You want to start a revolution fine, then start a revolution in your head it's the only place you can make any difference and it's the only place that's worth making a difference. Learn to enjoy the world or you're just wasting perfectly good oxygen.

:mittens:

I attended a few SSY meets a couple of years back when I thought I was some sort of socialist revolutionary.

Then I realized that people who think that way are usually just looking for something to piss and moan about.

I realized that I was that way too.

And that socialism is probably the dumbest idea ever.

I got sick of listening to college students in Che Guevara T-shirts a long time ago.

Oh yes, the college "revolutionaries" are the worse of the bunch. The skinny hippies are good for stealing weed from, though. At least they stop bitching when they graduate.

But what about the Black peoples?

Black peoples?

Sorry but I couldn't help myself...

Yep.  That's who he was talking about.

5 years of butthurt, and we STILL think you're a racist piece of trash.

Imagine that.

Hey Cow Ass, care to define your opinion on black people?
“I’m guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk,” Charles Wick said. “It was very complicated.”

“People get used to anything. The less you think about your oppression, the more your tolerance for it grows. After a while, people just think oppression is the normal state of things. But to become free, you have to be acutely aware of being a slave.”

Yes, do tell. I'm sure Nigel would be FASCINATED to hear your opinion.
My shit list: Stephen Harper, anarchists that complain about taxes instead of institutionalized torture, those people walking, anyone who lets a single aspect of themselves define their entire personality, salesmen that don't smoke pipes, Fredericton New Brunswick, bigots, philosophy majors, my nemesis, pirates that don't do anything, criminals without class, sociopaths, narcissists, furries, juggalos, foes.

I LOVE and HATE everyone equally. Both are essential, sometimes. Stereotypes are nothing but an uninformed and boring form of hate, just as "common attributes" are a non-affectionate and inadequate , and therefore ultimately false, form of love.

Sometimes people don't know this, I was and sometimes still am one of them.

But as for as being a racist, no, not any longer. I voted for Obama and, according to my calculations, that means I'm free of any pre-vote racist wrong doing. As for any post-vote racists remarks, intentional or not, I am totally guilty for. At least until I clear my record, when I vote O again. Then, for the 2016 election, I'll either have to spend my millions supporting another black candidate if one doesn't emerge naturally or, God Forbid, I may actually have to stop saying stupid shit.

I got no patience for this shit.

Can you post as if you respect other people here, or are you so egotistically entrenched in being "outlandish" that everything you say will need a translator and/or more work than it's worth?

Mam or Sir, the original thread that I bumped was as serious as I've ever been in my life. A couple even gave it some consideration until the thread was turned into how I hate the blak pepluz. I've been sidetracked on that bullshit forever. I keep coming back here is because it's the preeminent discordian forum on the interweb. No other forums have the same amount of activity, plus I sort of grew up here. I have my reasons for consistently coming back, but I'll explain those in a different thread.

The previous post is serious as well, at least until my reasons for voting blue in '08.

Wait, I voted Green. The leader at the time was gay but the representitive was a woman. So is it gays or women that I'm allowed to slag off by virtue of my egalitarian voting record?

If sheep entrails could in any way be related to the weather, i.e. sheep trails only originate where it rains, then you could use it as an accurate model for discerning what the weathers going to be like. Either, sheep shit makes it rain, or raining makes sheep shit. Sheep don't shit "randomly" sheep shit after they eat, it doesn't rain "randomly" it rains after water collects in the atmosphere.

Hey, what's up with people reviving these old threads lately? Is this some sort of zombie apocalypse thing?
Everything comes to an end, reader. It is an old truism to which may be added that not everything that lasts, lasts for long. This latter part is not readily admitted; on the contrary the idea that an air castle lasts longer than the very air of which it is made is hard to get out of a person's head, and this is fortunate, otherwise the custom of making those almost eternal constructions might be lost.

Yes, but it's the kind of zombie apocalypse that never really takes off so it just limps along for years.
