TBH, anything more complex than CO2 (solid) or Diet Coke + Mentos or HNO3 + Al (for casual explosions) or NH4NO3 + fuel oil (requires REALLY BIG EMPTY DESERT!) is just excessive unless you're trying to fit enough explosive power to bring down an airplane in, say, the sole of your shoe.
