I get this feeling that IANAR makes the rounds of different forums, pulling this exact schtick... every 4 months or so we have to deal with it.

How can we speed this part of the cycle up?

IANAR, ever since I apologized to you and you threw it back in my face, I decided not to give a shit about anything you say.

Have fun.

When did this happen :| It probably wasn't a very genuine apology then. "Internet Apologies" tend to be amusing.

Exibit A: Apology. Note, I actually felt bad about this, or I wouldn't have apologized.

Cain: Given Rhombus wasn't even talking about this forum, I see a lot of mentions about what "I'm" expected to do.  Which is odd, because I didn't get that vibe from this.  All I got was a sense of frustration at 1.  How the internet is and 2. How people are rarely willing to be understanding of the realities of discussion on the internet.

Do you think you may be analyzing this a little too deeply, BMW?

B_M_W (now Kai): If it was simply that, then I wouldn't have disputed that. Certain statements like "Everyone should be logical" especially struck me as needing to be addressed.

Cain: No, but you are using it as a justification to act like an ass towards someone, especially when they just pointed out that this sort of behaviour pisses them off.  Cut the crap out, will you?  How would your boyfriend act if he was trying to explain something (no matter how right or wrong he was about it) and someone were to basically say "well now, I'm going to push all your buttons, because you said some things I disagree with and demanded a basic level of respect"?

B_M_W :Okay, I understand.

Sorry Not Rombus.

IANAR: Well, thanks good. It just goes to show - on another forum we could have both ended up banned for 2 weeks. On Boards.ie we would have. But thanks to having one guy who happened to see what was going on and decided to be fair - the situation turned out better.

This is why there's no excuse for bad moderation, really...

B_M_W: Cain just showed me what should have been obvious already, and I realized how full of shit I was. Hes done it before (remember the "if Christians are disagreeing with fundamentalists then why aren't they saying anything" comment, Cain? One statement, and I realized how full of shit I was, and conceded the whole thing.), and will do it again.

Its good to know I have friends who are willing to tell me when I'm full of shit.

BMW: I understand logic. Its a useful tool. But it is still limited, and it is still subjective.

IANAR: Then you don't understand logic. Please fuck off and read up if you want me to take you seriously.

Logic is not subjective. The fact that "Humans do not follow" logic does not mean logic does not exist; it just means that there are beings which do not understand or act upon logic. You seem further confused as to what logic is; it's not a governing force; it's a reasoning process that be be observed by any sufficiently intelligent sentient being.

The fact that you pull the WHO DEEMS IT TO BE OBJECTIVE Bullshit just shows how beyond saving you are. If you don't understand how some things just "add up" objectively, then you not only don't understand logic, you don't even understand what objective means.

If logic isn't objective:

My name begins with an I.

I presume that people with a name that begins with "I" are Intelligent, as Intelligent begins with an I.

The more intelligent person wins an argument.

You do not have a I at the start of your name.

Therefore; I am more intelligent.

Therefore; I win the argument.

That reasoning is SOUND. Since there is no way it can be UNSOUND. You can't complain about it, since it's MY VIEW of logic.

Thus, I cease my argument with you since it'll only make me very angry.

Summary: I apologized sincerely to you, and you threw it in my face as I respectfully stated my case.

So fuck you.

Also, the best thing about that thread was that people stuck up for me. I wasn't even around to see it, and I feel bad about that.

Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice that was strong and loud and I
Swallowed his facade cuz I'm so
Eager to identify with
Someone above the ground,
Someone who seemed to feel the same,
Someone prepared to lead the way, and
Someone who would die for me.

Will you? Will you now?
Would you die for me?
Don't you fuckin lie.

No. I want to see how the hell IANAR deals with my quote of how they were a complete bitch to me after I apologized for some asshole comments I made and was reasonable.

Well, I'd hoped it would respond to my comment... but I don't think it actually wants to communicate... I think it wants to make grunting noises that make it feel smart.

Which is unfortunate.
