Why get involved in a complex conversation, why post a page and a half rant, when you can just twitter?

I said IRC would be the death of PD when it began.  I was right.  Our post count is in the fucking basement, HIMEOBS is dead, WOMP is a lost art, and all that is left is the inevitable noobs coming along to tell us how to be REALLY REAL Discordians.  Again and again and again.

Thanks, assholes.  IRC was a brilliant idea.

No-one posts on IRC either.

I mean, unless I'm missing something.  But when I log in, its usually several hours of silence, or Enki talking about something and everyone else ignoring him.  Or nobody being an idiot, and everyone ignoring him.  Or wade being a drunken idiot, and everyone ignoring him.  Or Daruko pretending to be someone else, and everyone ignoring him.

IRC does have some flurries of activity, but it's very easy to miss it unless you're a sad fuck who is logged in all the time (*cough*)

There's also been a large number of new idlers recently - There are currently 8 users, of 24, who I don't know/can't remember.

Its the summer wane. Happened last year too. A lot of people vanish around this time.

I don't know who half the people there are.

Which wouldn't be such a great problem, except most of them do nothing but lurk anyway.

Umm.. ye, I've been lurking on IRC for some time now. Most of the time I'm doing something (playing and such, I don't have a life), or simply not on computer. Or simply don't have anything to say, I don't, really.

My first post on these forums, too. It's not IRC that's keeping me from posting..

..it's all the scary people!
