Discordian links of the moment
« on: February 01, 2010, 11:03:15 am »
I try to keep track of Discordianism around the web, via Google alerts.  I'll update this periodically with links of where Discordianism is being discussed

http://www.montrealmirror.com/2010/012810/music2.html - some artist who released an album named All Hail Discordia and another called Sweet Confusion.  Lo5?  Possibly.  But nevertheless, worth investigating.

http://zombuddhapublican.blogspot.com/ - some discordian blog.  rather pinealist, would probably not appeal to most people here, but possibly worth keeping an eye on

http://iamafnord.blogspot.com/ - another Discordian blog, far less pinealist than the above, and shows promise

http://www.counterculturemonarchyofdiscordianism.com/cmdlandmain/index.html - I have absolutely no idea of what this is about.

Woah, this is interesting. It's apparently by a Croatian culture jamming group at Kunstterrorist.com, which had connections to the KLF and stuff.

Quote from: Kunstterrorist.com
Kunstterrorist Organisation revolves around the idea that art terrorism is defined as the substitute application or medium for violence or threatened state intended to sow panic in society. Instead of terror, art terrorism or postmodern art terrorism is intended to express the terror on more fashionable and contemporary way, via art.

Quote from: Wikipedia
Members of KTOrg claim that they are settled in a fictional country they call "Counterculture Monarchy of Discordianism" (www.cmdland.com). Members discussed the reasons for creating the fictional country as purely out of copyright reasons. In 2008, cmdland.com published several fake company web sites that look as if they were real corporate web pages. The launch of fake web sites was explained in the official newsletter from the organisation as "The beginning of something wonderful".

Swote.  I'm going to look into these people more.  Some contacts down the Balkans way would be nice.

The graffiti article was quite an interesting read.  And that republican's page made me lol. :P
