I....don't get it though. Maybe it's my general sense of apathy, but if ROMNEY had won, yea I'd be pretty disappointed in people and would have concerns about womens' rights, gay rights, among other things, which I think would be legitimate to an extent at least, but I don't see the wailing and gnashing of teeth and tearing of hair and "OH GOD DOOMSDAY IS UPON US". While I may be somewhat emotionally invested in certain values I have and believe that Romney stands for the opposite of most of them, I don't see the emotional devastation and "OH NO WE JUST ELECTED HITLER 2!"

The problem is that the only thing the Republicans have really said was "It can't be Obama, he'll ruin this country." If you tell yourself something often enough you'll believe it. These people have basically brainwashed themselves into thinking that of all people Mitt Romney was the Republic's last best hope for survival. Now they expect a full rejection of the constitution, and the United States of America to become the United Soviet Socialist States of America. Some of them expect they'll wind up in FEMA trains and FEMA camps and FEMA coffins now too, I'm sure. I'm not surprised.

My friends and I just discussed this, should someone actually CONSIDER a 2nd Civil War.

1: The "Liberal Northeast" is the most populated part of the nation. It would take everyone in every red state to take up arms to even try.
2: We may not have as many "guns" but we have the most National Guard presence. Rhode Island, for instance, is where the Guard started AND has the 2nd largest presence of guardsmen IN THE NATION. We have arsenals full of goodies.
3: They would have to be exceptionally stupid to even TRY to raise an army.
4: Navy? Yeah, we got them too, and a lot of Coast Guard and generally angry fishermen.

Seriously, if they haven't already, I'm waiting for someone to go, "We should burn all their universities!" Because well, someone tried to insult me for going to a "liberal arts college." Because liberal arts means liberal government. Or something...good thing I actually go to a research university.
