For Roger and anyone else living in Arizona

So i have this possibly/probably-abandoned novel (for nanowrimo) but one of the characters used to work for an extraterrestial/paranormal investigation agency in Arizona (but since then moved to another branch of the same organization, someplace unnamed that is actually in the midwest...someplace i actually know something about.)
I haven't been to Arizona, so i was wondering if anyone who lives/has lived there has any ideas about what such a hypothetical organization might encounter there.

The Sonoran Zombie, which is not really extraterrestrial or paranormal, but is probably creepier than either of those two things could ever be.
