Pretty much.  Just says they'll LOOK at it if it has enough signatures.

i just looked at the site, and there's one for about half the states, it looks like.

Wow, only ~30,000 people here want to secede?   I figured there would've been a lot more considering there are ~25.5 million people living here.  And that's after this last election when there would be a peak of butthurt.  Maybe I'm not giving Texas enough credit.

Naw.  They'll just be quietly ignored.  And by "ignored", I mean "the leadership of the movement will suddenly discover that their life has turned into a tragic series of misunderstandings of a bureaucratic nature".

The IRS will probably figure into that, alongside several other regulatory agencies.

The government has its fun.  Anyone who says differently is clearly stupid.
