I feel like I'm in the same boat sometimes, but I try to do what Hannibal Lechter says: "Try new things."
Might as well make time and try something different, dig into an existing pursuit or group more, or decide life is interesting after all and STFU about it.

Anyway, yes this was an outstanding rant TGRR, and though I'm not quite to the 40 mark yet, I'm close enough.  I'm noticing I'm not the 23 year old anymore.  I can feel that my brain isn't quite as quick as it once was.  I'm also a person who is somewhat vain about his hair, and I can see that it is starting to thin and recede a bit.  However, I think I've got to the part where I embrace the fact that I'm not a kid anymore and I've got this stuff I have to do as an adult.  I've gotta make sure this kid makes it to 18 alive and in one piece.  I gotta see if I can maybe help improve the chances of some of the other kids in Maine, even if just a smidge, but in the meantime, like Richter said, I'm still trying to find new things I can do.  Again, great thought-provoking rant.

Roger!  I saw this and I keep being reminded of that commercial that says life begins at 40....  and I really just want to go rip some stupid motherfucking advertising pricks head off and shit down his neck.

Seriously though, I turned 41 in January and it seems every fucking day there is something new that hurts.  I watch the college kids waiting at the bus stop with me and all they do is complain about the stupidest little stuff that won't mean shit in a day and all I want to do is just beat them with one of their ripped off limbs.  Just a side note: it is best not to say this out loud when you think it!

So I reckon those of us in the old fart cabal should all  get together, get really drunk (you are still allowed to drink right?) and set this younger, smarter (HAHAHAHAHA) and lost generation straight?
