I dunno, I'm new to it, but it seems to me to be a 'Herd of Cats' in both theory and practice...  If you more or less design a movement (religion, belief system, club, orgy, whatever...) to attract various forms of non - joiners and 'outsiders' (freethinkers, hippies, occultists, conspiracy theorists, alternative historians, anyone who reads about Taoism, get it?), they're all going to INSTINCTIVELY pull away somewhat and never really allow the movement to solidify because they're all malcontents and can't really join anything.  You get a cacophony of people who want to be heard, but would generally prefer to not be around when you listen.  Genius idea, really...

As a malcontent, outsider, non - joiner, and aspiring megalomaniac, I was instantly attracted to the circus of watching folks try to get together and avoid a sense of belonging.

I used to drink a lot, but that mellowed out by my mid 20's...  Been a confirmed potHEAD since I was 13.  It's always been nice, although my lungs are probably coated in resin.  Alas, we all must go sometime, so one might as well be chill and slightly paranoid.

Congrats to OP on reigning in a habit, though.  That can be a bit of a bitch.

Howzitgoin?  Looks like there's some real loose nuts around here, which is good.  I'm just a garden variety weirdo with a reefer problem and a little too much reading under my belt...  Only recently discovered Discordianism, figured I'd check out the forum attatched to the actual fucking book's website, as Facebook seems to be fraught with peril in regards to finding folks who aren't just looking for an excuse to misbehave.

I generally don't like folks who think they need an excuse.

After reading this thread, all I can say is that, even after all these years, I'm still flat - out AMAZED that people actually listen to Godsmack.  I mean, they sound like what would happen if Alice In Chains and Pantera had a butt - baby that came out retarded.
