Wow. I don't think I've had green peppers on a sandwich before.  It's so obvious to put in yet I never thought of it.

I'm not a fan of the more recent horror flics.  It's not because I'm scared of them (I'm scared, regardless).  It's just that there's no structure.  It's just a long quiet pause with some bloody child jumping out of a closet screaming his or her head off.  I mean some movies, like Frailty and Creepshow (creepshow isn't scary, but the concepts in the story is) had something that I would say are, without hesitance to say, scary.  We need better horror movies.

50 suspence scenes != 1 good horror movie.

I know that.  I mean that the terms fear and horror are jumbled back and forth in the media without regard to what they mean.  It's just kind of funny to me.

Oh, duh.  How did I miss that?  Okay, that answers my questions.

Now I'm thinking about horror flics.  I guess from this logic, not all movies in that genre are actually horror.

All right, Phox.  I might have missed something in this thread.

I celebrated Ramadan with one of my friends earlier in the year.  I think of it as Super-Lent.

Fair enough.  I don't really act my age.  Personally, I'm a little disheartened that I've grown so much (not in maturity, of course) yet accomplished so little.  Knowing that there were so many things that I could and should have done but failed to act on really bums me out.  To be honest, I thought the two of you were the same age as me.

Would you believe I'm actually 19?  When I talked about watching Dr. Horrible in English Composition, I was referring to one of my college courses.

Here's two things I don't quite get yet:

1)  Horror relates to something outside of our field of knowledge about the natural world.  Assuming I have interpreted the previous posts correctly, would miracles, then, be included into horror?  Unless one accepts what the universe throws at them, as mentioned from earlier responses, an act of God would in fact shake one's understanding of their environment and thus horror comes into play.  Am I right on this statement?

2)  If fear is the feeling  that something bad is about to happen, then what is courage?  Would courage be simply the "fight" response to any fear-inducing scenario?  If so, then everyone would have fear and that the term "fight your fears" would be questioned.  Now that I think about it, what does it truly mean to use the "fight" response to fear?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas (Kwanzaa and Hanuka, too).  I know I did.  I got one of those Fushigi balls.  There's no mechanism in it at all.  It's just a ball.  Who knew?

Both of you are right.  I'm not sure why but my friends want to run a deli with it.  I told them the sandwich isn't exactly cuisine and it costs $6 per sandwich.  People these days are into their pizza and burgers more than anything else.  Besides, there's always Subway and Panera Bread already doing that kind of stuff.  Also, Nigel, can you guess my age?  You're correct on the fact the fact that I'm a teen.  Phox, you're welcome to guess as well.  So far, only Persona Facade knows my actual age.

I had to get rid of the poptart recipe, guys.  The only real recipe I ever used was a cake that exploded (yes, literally exploded).  I got rid of the recipe also because a few of my friends want to profit from it.  Once I find an actual recipe, I'll revise this post.  In the meantime, type whatever you want.
