Everyone who calls themselves "wolf-something" or "something-wolf" almost inevitably turns out to be an irredeemable shitneck.

Who are you, again?

IDK, half the users are only there to tell the others they are creepy... and of those others, two or three of them appear to actually be serious and the rest just regular twihards (I word I only learned today and wish I hadn't)

Some of the posts in that forum are great.

QuoteNo. No. No. No. Religion is not a joke. Not ever. If you think you can be a Cullenist or whatever and a Christian at the same time, you are dead wrong.

FZ, doin' it wrong.

1) The first band/musician you got into.
2) Overall favorite band/musician of all time
3) The newest or most recent band/musician you got into. (should be a new-ish band, not an old/established artist you just discovered.)

1) Robbie Williams. Lol. Properly 'got into', though? System of a Down.
2) Um. Difficult. Gogol Bordello, today.
3) Circus Contraption (Though I started listening to them a year ago and have had momentary obsessions with bands since, I'd still put them here.)

We have to hijack this and subtly feed them our memes dressed up as Cullenist thought. Discordianism 3.0. It's a joke disguised as a religion disguised as a religion worshiping a movie (which might be a joke).
Or something.

I could agree with that, for a certain definition of "nothing to hide" which requires that there be nothing in your history that you could possibly get in trouble for and reliable witnesses at every stage in your life to publically dispute any fabricated evidence of wrongdoing.

REPUTATIONS ARE VERY IMPORTANT THINGS
POSTING AS AN ALT REMOVES ALL CONTEXT AND ADDS TO CONFUSION

The 'confusion' often arises from a negative response to the question "should I invest time trying to understand what this person is saying?", and reputations are the most important variable in the social calculus which goes on there.

Some people are total idiots, there's no getting around that, but for most people if you invest a considerable amount of time, you can at least see why they aren't stupid for thinking a certain thing - even if you disagree completely with their conclusions.  That isn't practical or scalable though for something like a web-forum because the amount of time required for everyone to fully understand everyone else follows "N!"  I've spent a lot of time thinking about this and I don't have a ready answer.
I didn't entirely understand your post, but I assume it has something to do with the mahdgickalz internet rising up and overthrowing the government as if by magic bringing a much desired end to their cruel reign and replacing the tyrannous system with a new perfect solution, bringing in a new age of peace and love for all and convincing the world leaders to disarm. It's always 'magic internet this' and 'magic internet that' with you.

That doesn't sound very likely, CU.

(Not really. I actually like your ideas but the 'magic internets' response felt obligatory, in context.)

Fuck that. Cram's posts were only any good because he was a pretend noob. Rather than going and doing something radical like giving everyone a fair chance, let's settle down and think this through!
Maybe we can do a quick history check on noobs we want to react negatively to and ensure that:

A) The rest of the tribe haven't already grown fond of the noob, in which case your lashing out at them may jeopardise your own status.

AND

B) That the noob hasn't outed themselves or been outed as the alt of someone with something interesting to say.

Otherwise the rule stands true.
Real noobs have nothing of value to add until they've been properly tested.
