Also, warning people away from bad games is gooooood. However, due to monetary restraints, I tend the stick to the straight-and-narrow, mainstream, popular, good reviewed games. Except for cases like Republic: The Revolution (good potential, bad execution), which I often end up regretting.

I liked Serious Sam on the PC (both installments).

Even at reduced price, I wouldn't touch it on the PS2 because of the slick mouse/keyboard combo would be replaced with twiddling your analog sticks.

I played the PS2 demo last weekend, and I knew I was right in not buying it...
I quit the demo even before the demo-timer (which I hate) was halfway.
I disagree with hotsuma on some points concerning Serious Sam, but I fully agree with his end conclusion: Stay away from this game.

Don't even poke it with a long stick if you're curious...

If you insist on poking, then I suggest you use both a sledgehammer and brute force...

I'm not doing this because someone wants me too, I'm doing it so the poor peoples of this forum don't have to suffer through games like Drakenguard like I did.

Any reviews/warnings of drakengard coming?
I seriously considered buying this game (Dynasty Warriors + flying a dragon? w00t!), but the voices inside screamed at me not to...
Now I want to know why not, but they wouldn't tell me...

in short though, it fuses dynasty warriors and panzer dragoon...but neither of the gameplay types work very well
