That sounds like living in an armpit, Cain. Hope it cools down a bit!

My district is doing distance learning for the foreseeable future and I'll still be getting work, so now I have to make a work station in my tiny house. I found some shelves on Craigslist so I'll be able to use my vanity as a desk, at least.

Today in Trump Klan related malarkey, Ivanka Trump Once Said Christian Bale in American Psycho Was Her Ideal Man

QuoteAmerican Psycho is, of course, a parody of the craven Manhattan decadence that exploded in the late '80s and early '90s, and in a way that's even weirder than the fact that Christian Bale's character brutally murdered and dismembered women. There's something fundamentally strange about being into a character who lampoons your entire way of life on top of name checking both of your parents during the movie's runtime. But it also begs the question: What don't we know about her husband Jared Kushner?

Secret, unlawful indefinite dissident detention
So when are we just burning the whole thing down?

I turned off "civilian" mode some time ago so really any time is fine. Even if Biden gets elected I expect a police state to continue unabated. I'm still going go vote for him against Donnie tho. Presuming of course that I am still alive and free to do so.
:horrormirth: I've been struggling with the feeling that I've been alarmist (even though logically know I haven't been) and this just effectively silenced that little voice. Time to really lean into those mutual aid networks!

"The White House never sent us evidence the Bernie-Biden platform calls for defunding or abolishing police—because there is none. It calls for increased funding for police departments--that meet certain standards. Biden has called for redirecting some police funding for related programs—like mental health counseling."

The statement, ostensibly issued as a knock on President Trump, ended up blowing back at Joe Biden as leftists, and even some key progressive leaders who should be backing Biden for president in November condemned Biden's statement.

Biden just issued a statement calling for the arrest of anarchists, simply for Being anarchists, which is very explicitly not illegal, wrote one progressive state candidate on Twitter.

It should also be noted that Biden and Trump have now joined together in openly calling for the political persecution of the same people.

A big old shit sandwich is the only thing on the menu for the foreseeable future.
Yep, much of which Biden built the scaffolding for. 🙃 He is, after all, the PATRIOT act's granddaddy.

How Jared Kushner's Secret Testing Plan "Went Poof Into Thin Air"

Quote
"Six months into the pandemic, the United States continues to suffer the worst outbreak of COVID-19 in the developed world. Considerable blame belongs to a federal response that offloaded responsibility for the crucial task of testing to the states. The irony is that, after assembling the team that came up with an aggressive and ambitious national testing plan, Kushner then appears to have decided, for reasons that remain murky, to scrap its proposal.
...
Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner's team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. "The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy," said the expert.

That logic may have swayed Kushner. "It was very clear that Jared was ultimately the decision maker as to what [plan] was going to come out," the expert said."

They left us to fucking die in the name of politics.

Also if anyone needs screenshots of the article, I gotchu.

Citing Election Delay Tweet, Influential Trump Ally Now Demands His Re-Impeachment

QuoteCalabresi declared himself "appalled" by the tweet, which he characterized as "seeking to postpone the November election."

"Until recently, I had taken as political hyperbole the Democrats' assertion that President Trump is a fascist," the conservative legal scholar wrote. "But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president's immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate."

Unknown. Probably won't know until I keel over or something, I still have no health insurance.

I recognized the chest and left shoulder pain when breathing, the shakiness and the indigestion. I sat the fuck down, went into deep breaths autopilot, and made a point of moving slow like a sloth and not lifting a goddamn thing for the rest of the day.

I have intermittent pain spikes at random in my head, neck and chest, but they're mild, short lived and have no obvious correlation with anything I'm doing at the time. I have told everyone what's happening, and my current limitations.

This came on while having a panic attack AND helping a new roommate move stuff that is far too heavy for me, so it isn't weird that it happened. I'm just sick of this fucking bullshit.
Shit, girl.
