Spamming porn is a bit of a dick move, but hardly a great crime and certainly not worthy of the hysteria on display in this thread.

Especially, when, y'know, it wasn't actually seen by anyone's kid.

So Yatto is saying that YOU liked the page OpSafeKids, and he commented on your like. Is he confusing you with Stella? I remember a bunch of people were "liking" OpSafeKids at that time, including Stella, who posted a screenshot of herself having "liked" that page.

But of course you don't really remember exactly, and you don't have screenshots, and you "deleted" the alleged PM and won't check your archived messages because you're convinced you deleted it even though deleting PMs isn't an option on FB, and all you know is that there was porn (which your child didn't see, but COULD HAVE SEEN) and it's Yatto's fault.

I don't want to get into it with you, but at the same time I can't help but wonder why you are attacking Khara and defending Yatto. You say that he didn't do it intentionally is obvious, but to me it really isn't obvious.

This entire thing is murky as hell and like I said, just isn't adding up correctly.

Nobody reported Khara to the FBI. That's circular reasoning. And Facebook making Yatto use his real name is irrelevant.

I think you guys are being baselessly paranoid and indulging in both confirmation bias and scapegoating. If you view this as "attacking" Khara, I don't know what to say. Accusing someone of spamming shock porn, and reporting them to the police and the FBI, isn't exactly something to take lightly.

Bloomberg is reporting that Standard & Poors is giving subprime mortgages a AAA rating...in other words, the junk loans which helped cause the financial crisis are, according to S&P, a better investment than US government bonds 

Isn't that a case of them protecting their own?

That would be much, much harder to quantify.

There have been advances in social software which could probably quantify the amount of lobbying done by those companies, and the links between those companies and government officials.

This theme seems to be cropping up a lot lately. I wonder if they will expand their studies to show direct influence over various governments as well.

So yatto admits he sent a joke which ended up being porn thru no fault of his or so he claims, however it doesn't change the fact that porn was sent and that he lied about it it never happening.

He also admits that there was no doppleganger account nor was his account hacked.  

He admits that he was contacted by both Facebook and law enforcement after I reported him.  Yet I was the one who was being grilled. Funny how that is isn't it?

He also has gigantic cajones to imply that I'm not a good parent. Which for me is the killing blow. I mean after all he is such a fine upstanding citizen and all, I should be ashamed my children look at my personal facebook page that my entire family has the address to and sends me messages on.

The American banking sector apparently is going to be vastly different when it finally emerges from the financial crisis that took hold more than three years ago. It is going to be significantly smaller, and the domination of a relative handful of behemoth institutions is going to increase.

At the end of June, there were 7,522 commercial banks, down from 8,542 on Dec. 31, 2007. That is a decline of nearly 12 percent in just three and a half years. Of the more than 1,000 banks that disappeared, about 370 failed. But the rest of the decrease came through mergers and acquisitions as a decades-long pattern of consolidation continued.

Most banks in the United States still are fairly small. The median size of a bank at the end of June, according to an analysis of statistics from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was about $155 million in assets. That's about an 18 percent increase since the end of 2007.

But those numbers seriously skew the nature of the industry. Of the more than $13.6 trillion in assets held by banks at the end of June, nearly $9.4 trillion is in the hands of just 37 institutions, each with more than $50 billion in assets. And of that, $5.5 trillion is held by just four banks: JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank and Wells Fargo. Each of those have more than $1 trillion in assets. In other words, the U.S. banking industry resembles a tall cake, with a very thick layer of icing on top.

And the left wingers are in denial that it can be kept liquid throughout the next 30 years while still increasing the amount paid out per person.

It's clear SOMETHING has to be done, and that something should not include, IMO, pushing the tax burden onto the current generations of workers.  We're strapped as it is, the ones of us who HAVE jobs and are holding onto them with two hands and our teeth.
