Don't forget the people who see the smoke, and then bet on the damn thing to fail.

That's precisely what I was talking about.  A crow doesn't watch a battle and hope nobody dies.  It is not in its interest.

So, you think you're pretty clever, there, with your futures contracts with HIMEOBS.  You got a put on LMNO's mustache and a margin account in your pants, and the gains are permanent, get in before you are priced out forever, right?  And sure, you only have to put up $2000 to get in on the mustache on margin, and you'll sell the wad before it comes due.

That's how it's supposed to work, if you listen to a certain crowd.  You know the crowd.  Fake mustaches, pipes, vaguely-Cramulan business notions?  But what they AREN'T telling you is that they have leverage in their pants, and that leverage is about to be YOU.  Hoops, for example will teach you more about a BULL market than you really wanted to know, LMNO is Caa at best, and Queen Gogira has stagflation droppin' outta every orifice and she will slap you in your junk bonds, if you know what I mean.  And I think you do.

It's worth mentioning that the people who do this have entirely different goals than anyone else.  The goals are retarded when looked at from the long or medium term, but these grifters are neither trained nor given any incentive to think beyond the next fiscal quarter (or, for the clever ones, the end of the next long con).

Capitalism is basically a high-speed rotary-arm tit machine.  Everyone wants some of that tit (traders want bonds, people want houses), and the people who maintain machines (the SEC) are not authorized to do any work on bonds.  So even though you can look at the machine and see smoke coming out of the gearbox and hear bearings start to whine, nobody will allow any work to be done on it so long as they are still getting some tit.

And the only people who get a seat belt are the traders, and they ALSO know that when this machine breaks, the feds will replace it again (may not be accurate, but that's what they believe), and they just get right on the new machine and start harvesting that magical tittie.

Subprime mortgages? Not only are we doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past but now we must do so every ten years.

This is correct.  Because if you're one of the banksters pushing this, it wasn't a mistake in the first place.

Any attempts by Remainer MPs to delay or obstruct #Brexit must be opposed. Today I have formally asked Polish Government to veto any motions by EU to allow extension of Article 50. We are leaving 11pm on March 29th as promised @StandUp4Brexit

Colluding with a foreign government, to potentially thwart the will of Parliament....there's a word for that, its right on the tip of my tongue....

Isn't that why you guys have Traitor's Gate?

Sadly, our rules about treason are as restrictive as yours, if not more so.

It is funny though, watching the Brexiteers screech about democracy, then undermining Parliament.  Rees-Mogg was arguing today that May should shut down Parliament for a few days to prevent legislation on preventing a No-Deal Brexit be debated and voted on.

Where is Oliver Cromwell, now that you finally need him?  Seriously.

Here's part of the "deal" Trump offered the house.  :lulz:

The Trump bill includes a provision to ban nationals of El Salvador, Guatemala or Honduras who are under 18 years old from eligibility for asylum unless they submit applications at a processing center in Central America. That means they cannot apply in the U.S. if they flee their home countries because of gang violence, as many have done.

A Brit in my office explained it like, "It doesn't matter, the people voted to leave.  It would be like the US asking for a do-over on the 2016 election in 2018."

Except that this is a non-binding resolution.  Hell, Parliament can just say "we're not doing this."

11
It doesn't.  They are talking about what happens in March, without a deal.

But, well, things have to start moving now.  France has already activated it's own "No Deal" planning, Ireland and the Netherlands will soon follow suit.  Markets are looking nervous...if anything the EU should be shouting louder.

UK civil servants are also being seconded to departments where they will be needed to deal with the fallout of Brexit.  Borders, education, health...it's crippling departments like the Treasury.

But tHe WiLl Of TeH pEoPleE!

How many people favor a second referendum right now?

In today's news, a reminder than you can never, ever trust the country with anything like your sexuality or gender.

Labour have decided, a day late and a dollar short, that they want a second referendum.

May has said "lolno".

The Brexit minister has said there's no guarantee that the EU will even agree to an extension of Article 50, if Parliament goes ahead with it.

The EU has warned that in the event of there being no deal, the EU will have to impose a hard border in Northern Ireland.

My bedroom is slowly filling with pasta and tinned food.

I thought the EU said nothing matters until March?
