just kidding of coarse....nice job Roger. It's all true. Every little abuse is another rat eating away at the foundation...though lately it seems more like wreaking balls then rodents...

She and DS applaud and so do I.

My favorite part is the ghost of Jefferson lamenting in the rooms of ruin.
just like in a dream

Yeah, that just came to me today, while I was re-boring a cylinder.

Mechanical work is great, for having time to think.

Obviously, the poem was based on the middle ages rhyme "The house that Jack built."

Yep.  On other occasions, my job encourages the extremely rapid self-evaluation of my life.

Slapping a coat of paint on something is a good technique, too.  And the fumes don't hurt, either.
The Jerk On Bike rolled his eyes and tossed the waffle back over his shoulder--before it struck the ground, a stout, disconcertingly monkey-like dog sprang into the air and snatched it, and began to masticate it--literally--for the sound it made was like a homonculus squatting on the floor muttering "masticate masticate masticate".

Like it... not so with the repetitiveness, but you get that with this type of thing...

On the same subject, the thing I like about repetitive jobs is it gives your mind time to wander on to lots of other things. That's also the worst thing about them, if you're in a foul mood.

I am better than I have been recently. Had a bit of troubles hit me all at once. I hinted at one of them in some other thread. I'll tell more when distance and time give me the ability. Or maybe Bella will be able to get it out of me next time she calls.
