too much to ask?

one of the reasons that we cannot work together

is that when it comes down to it

it is too much to ask of another person if you are depending on them to be unafraid of death



i have made mention before that you can never predict how a person will react when under pressure
so
when faced with the ultimate pressure

even your closest ally is liable to turn on you



it is possible that the task at hand requires men to come to agreement on the common aim
but
work separately
and lend support from a distance with no expectation of the support being returned in the form it was given


anything else would be the equivalent to suicide at this point



and just plain dumb
