Quoting a "distinguished" contemporary, the Daily Mail reported that the then-future British Prime Minister, in his student days in Oxford, participated in an outrageous initiation ceremony that involved a dead pig's body and at least one of Cameron's "private" parts.

Mother of god. I love the Internet age.

We appear to be doomed by our DNA to repeat the same destructive behaviors our forebears have repeated for millenia. If anything our problem solving skills have actually diminished with the advent of technology & our ubiquitous modern conveniences. & yet despite our predisposition towards fear-driven hostility; towards what we anachronistically term primitive behavior another instinct is just as firmly encoded in our make-up. We are capable as our ancestors were of incredible breathtaking acts of kindness. Every hour of every day a man risks his life at a moments notice to save another. Forget for a moment the belligerent benevolent billionaires who grant the unfortunate a crumb of costfree cake. I speak of pure acts of selflessness. A Mother who rushes into the street to save a child from a speeding vehicle. A person who runs into a burning building to reach a family trapped on the upper story. Such actions, such moments, such unconscious selfless decisions, define what it is to be human

Going by your comment on Black mirror, I'd say Charlie brooker knew when he was writing that episode.

"Just to clear it up: nope, I'd never heard anything about Cameron and a pig when coming up with that story. So this weirds me out."

It is interesting that, as allegations about this are swirling, journalist James Delingpole has taken to Twitter to remind everyone that he totally didn't smoke weed alongside David Cameron while at Uni.

Also, I wouldn't exactly call Goldsmith "distinguished".  He's a tax-dodging billionaire scumbag, who was apparently promised a significant role in the Cabinet before the press exposed his tax-dodging ways.

I suspect something is up.  Perhaps emboldened by events in Australia, the far right of the Tory Party, which has never really liked Cameron, is starting to make moves against him.  This obviously isn't enough on its own, but it could nonetheless encourage others to pile in on him.

Payne

Yes, events in Australia may show its perhaps feasible to unseat a PM. Also the supreme lack of credible opposition in the commons and a deep unease about the manner in which the government wants to conduct the EU referendum could be providing some impetus to a Tory plot?

As eye catching as the pig story is I doubt it will last beyond a news cycle or two, but I would expect to see a lot more of these types of things cropping up

Prelate Diogenes Shandor

This actually improves my opinion of David Cameron. Before he was a joyless buzzkill who wanted to censor the internet. Now he's merely a pig fucker.

It is an unfortunate fact that every man who seeks to disseminate knowledge must contend not only against ignorance itself, but against false instruction as well.
