Heh.  I can't get the black sheep concept into the verses I've started, but now I have a chorus begging for its own verses:

Baa baa black sheep, you're still in the pen
Baa baa black sheep, you're still one of them.

How does one do that? It's pretty freakin cool.

(though that video will probably haunt my dreams forever)

QuoteThat whole night I heard wings of some kind, and I walked about trying to protect my head with my arms from those wings. Then there was a chair, but not like one of our chairs now - this one was old-fashioned, made of wood. And I'm moving my legs like a horse (right foreleg and left hind leg, left foreleg and right hind leg). Then the chair runs right up to my bed and jumps in. And I make love to the wooden chair. It was uncomfortable. It hurt.

from We, Yevgeny Zamyatin

anybody read this joint?

that chair intimacy scene had me rollin

Fantastic book, and probably the most feasable dystopia I've ever read. Must've missed that part though (or some turd abridged it and I bought that publishing.)

Most excellent. A few suggestions though:

1. Heavier kicks ftw!
2. Less echo. I suggest copying the dry version of the vocals, then lowering the levels of the copy and adding echo to that. (And adding a light reverb to both.)
3. The bass is waay too low. The beats are great, but if you can't hear the bass, it just sounds like drums and echo.

Great job on the vocal chopping by the way. I wouldn't have been able to tell if I hadn't already known they were chopped.

It's basically irc for people who can't read books without pictures.

Thanks for the PBF link. I read through them all, and it has to, by far, be my favorite comic strip(web or non) that isn't Zippy.

Just in time for you to show back up!

This being the internet, what exactly was the connotation of that? Was it mocking me, mocking the board, or something else?

yup.  I couldn't work out exactly what the BPM was, so I cut it up & arranged it so that a stressed word landed on a down, or back, beat.

*loves that idea*

i nominate "pseudo wu-tang" for word of the day :-)

how do you do this cutting and re-arranging? sounds like a LOT of work or are there good tools for it?

you use soundforge or something?

I use Acid (which works in pretty much the exact same way as Soundforge), and it's pretty good for chopping and editing (though it takes a hella long time to get it right.)
