That might be me.  I'm not entirely anonymous, but I like to make it difficult for anyone who isn't a government employee or uber-hacker to figure out who I am.  Especially given the kind of people I tend to piss off on the internet are the kind of people with too much spare time and an inclination to data-mine, copy photos and then post them on sites frequented by football hooligans and other unstable personality types.

It didn't bother me much when I lived in the middle of nowhere, as it'd be more effort than it would be worth to actually even get to me.  But now I'm in the big city, a moron could get his outrage on, find me, smash my face in with a brick and be back home before his beer got to room temperature.  That's the kind of proximity that allows for someone to do something really fucking stupid before any kind of self-control asserts itself.
