Very nice.

But did you think about the pumpkins' families, when you cut them open and gutted them?

You heartless bastard!

LOL. I plan on covering the triple moon with the water n bubbles n stuff. It wasn't a ~shudder~ wiccan thing    for me. I just really like the moon. However, it's going. And yes I did enjoy being the "black sheep" in a crowd of soccer moms. We were at the Lakeridge winery. Even though it was incredibly HOT that day it was still a lot of fun. Only liked about 2 of their wines out of about 10 though. Most had a weird wang that I can't describe. Kinda chemically.... eew.

I was kinda joking about the moon thing but change it if you wish. However I feel that changing the colour of your eyes just cos Felix doesn't like them is taking bowing to public pressure a bit far. Change them back to blue immediately!

LOL about the eyes, and the moons are really old and I'm pretty much over em, besides they kinda clash with the squid-opuss thing I'm goin with.

Lakeridge is a winery in Florida (didn't know we could grow grapes here in the SAND) and the vintage is probably this year. Not that great but they make a decent cuvee noir, they also have one called the "southern red" that I swear tastes like welch's. Odd for wine but I bet it'd make a hell of a sangria with some brandy and fruit.

Any wine that tastes like chemicals = bad.  Any wine less than 3 years old = bad.  Any wine going for less than $7 (alcohol seems to be cheaper in America) = probably bad.

The Depoe Bay Winery makes a Sweet Red that sounds like it would taste similar to this.  Our favorite cocktail to make with it is the Restoration: 1 oz brandy, 1 oz Chambord, fill with red wine.

I don't really know what year it was that we were tasting. It was free. Couldn't complain too much. I did however find a really good red wine under $7 that actually got high ratings in the snooty wine thing. (I'm so with it) It's called Casa Alonso, comes from Spain and doesn't have that bite that slaps you in the nose when you swallow it.

Troof, y'know.  A wine's optimum age is determined upon conception, and most wines are best after only a couple of years.

FACT: I was referring to when the wine was casked, not bottled.

Every wine i've tried that was moved from cask to bottle in under a year has tasted acidic, with turpentine notes, and a raw fruit finish.

I for one don't mind PD references, as long as it's applicable.

PS - oh, and yeah, I have stopped.

A year old?

Yikes.

LMNO
-a'skeered of any one-year wine, save for boujelais neuvau.

FACT:  About (as in roughly) 85% of wines are ready to drink as bottled.

ALSO:  Whites are quite quaffable at only a year old...most shouldn't BE much more than 2 or 3 years at the most...elsewize they are only good for the sauce in your cooking.

FACT: I was referring to when the wine was casked, not bottled.

Every wine i've tried that was moved from cask to bottle in under a year has tasted acidic, with turpentine notes, and a raw fruit finish.

FACT:  Most don't know the difference, but I guess I should have ASSUMED you did.  ;)

Naw, there are some pretty good Spanish wines that are not well-seasoned but still drinkable at a youngish age.  I sure as shit don't dig the lighter whites after 2-3 years.  Talk about stale and linear.  Blech.

Yeah, I went to Spain a couple of years ago, and I've been into their wines ever since.

However,
Now that I've to Chile and Argentina, I've really been getting into Malbecs and Cariangnes.

Malbecs are AWESOME.

And unfortunately, I was too young when I went to Spain to appreciate their wines...I should've, but I was dazzled by the Provencal French ones instead.  More's the pity.

Though, I usu find myself enjoying the Australian Malbecs best...they have that "earthy, can-taste-the-sheep-in-it" flavor that's pretty unique.

The South African wines that are coming out nowadays are also quite good.

I had a south african wine that wasn't too shabby.
I do prefer the reds over the whites though, I like the..... deepness? in the flavor. I'm not much of a wine snob so I don't know the proper vernacular to use when talking about it. I know yummy vs. yucky though, and Lakeridge's whites are yucky.
