So everthing is first circuit?

I'm not buying it.  Especially when you look at the things that are biologically harmful that people gravitate towards.

If you look at it from the standpoint of Richard Dawkins in The Selfish Gene, everything is motivated from a desire to preserve our genes (and memes), not necessarily individual survival, which still keeps with the concept of all our actions being first circuit at their base. I don't entirely agree, but he makes a good case.

Some could argue we, with all the chemicals put into our diets and environments, aren't really entirely human anymore, considering we've already modified ourselves to the point where we're not much like our early ancestors. IMO, the concept of "human" is pretty fluid, considering some can define it biologically, some socially, some emotionally, and etc. As far as I'm concerned, if you look and act close enough to the "human" archetype in my mind to make me recognize you as human, then you are. It's just a matter of perception.

An honest question:

During that time, did Aini talk about anything other than furries, fire breathing, bondage, stilts, piercing, sword-swollowing, or necro-fetishes?

Yes actually, we talked about life, about the general troubles each of us were having, about the happenings on the forums, about the woods she has near her house, etc.

Occassionally something on one of her shows would come up, and we'd talk about it for a bit, but then we'd talk about something else. *shrug* It didn't come up as much as other personal things, and I'll keep those to myself.

Is there any way you could ask her to do that over here more often?

I haven't gotten up the guts to talk to her since this whole racism/PTSD thing started.....

PTSD? I missed that, apparently.

Quietly, I start preparing to revel in the US's future as a third world nation, and contemplate a quick drive to Detroit to get used to it.

IIRC, its like mihd, only you sign up with an account and get permament hosting.  For anything, not just music.  The downside being, its highly unlikely anyone will just browse and happen to see your music there.

What I think its really needed is a music download site with social networking aspects (a la Myspace, only with downloads) to increase the chance of random people finding your stuff or being referred to you.

Yeah, that's how it works. And if you want that, there's acidplanet.com. Reviews, filehosting (have to put up a WMA for streaming though, but mp3s can be downloaded), charts, pretty big forums, and a chance at some pretty cool remix comps every now and then.  But everyone there sucks and gives 10/10 reviews because they're massive whores, and is therefore useless for anything constructive.

Discordian Recipes / Re: Tzatziki and burger wrap

I'm a weakling who just buys Tzaziki at the store rather than making it, but it is some delicious stuff. I'm definitely going to have to start piling it on hamburgers.

Read about 120 pages into Gravity's Rainbow, finally got around to reading Fight Club, and now I'm debating whether to finish Gravity's Rainbow or get started on The Diamond Age.

Imperial Life in the Emerald City is fairly righteous.

Sounds cool. I'll have to check that out.

Please never stop writing Sepia. I love pretty much everything you write. Just thought I should say that.

Sometimes you have to kick a dead horse to save the villagers pinned underneath it..

(Other times, it just smells funny and that makes you giggle.)

I suppose so. On the other hand, when the amount of material we already have is large and mostly unnoticed, why bother making new stuff unless it's doing something new? Greater distribution of the old material would have just as much of an impact as rehashing old material, with less bandwidth used.

I agree with TLU, but I might also add that with time the position of power may have shifted and that guy who we think is the head is no longer the real threat. The enemies are his superiors *edited due to wrong wording*. Duh-duh-duh!

HAR HAR HAR!

WRONG AGAIN.

The president is owned by his contributors.

His contributors are corporations (Halliburton, etc).

The corporations are owned by the shareholders.

The shareholders are mostly mutual funds, etc.

The mutual funds are owned by the people that use them for retirement plans.

That's Joe 6 Pack.  You and me.

TGRR,
Has met the enemy, and he is us.

Precisely.  :lol::emo:

This is why my rant was mostly about the People, not the president.

Which TLU chose to ignore.

Not really. Just decided to look at the part you and the entire rest of the board hadn't already gone over a billion times. I suppose it was just a bad attempt at adding content. Really shouldn't have started an argument over nothing.
