PD may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds.  If PD splits open, do not look directly at resulting goo.  PD is still legal in 14 states.

Just a passing thought, but have Trump cultists gone too far? I mean it not in the way it may appear at first glance, I mean, is it ok to view our friends and family that we've since cut ties with over fanatical endorsement of a lying shitbag narcissist, as victims of a cult mentality and welcome them back as though everything is ok once all this is said and done? Or is the root of betrayal so deep that there can be no healing from it? I know what I think and feel about it, I'm just curious how others view it.

We're nowhere near a point where "all has been said and done", election night might just be the beginning.

Honestly, this place is less dickish about it, true, but still, there are people in here with the "medication bad" viewpoint,

[snip]

Are there?

My guess? She's Falun Gong.

Falun Gong has cross-pollinated with apocalyptic Christianity and, to a lesser extent, Qanon, and believe America under Trump will smite the godless Communists in Beijing. Note Bannon is one of the chief cheerleaders of the idea of a war with China, and has extensive links with Chinese regime opposition groups.

Thanks, that makes sense.

My initial thoughts had been to attribute it to a psychotic person with a need for attention... which i suppose was not completely off target, but the political drive behind it makes it more justifiable.

I'll restate the question: Why is Li-Meng Yan propagating conspiracy theories? (And putting herself and her family at risk).

Because what you're answering is that the plague is indeed engineered, just not as a weapon... which then following your argument, Li-Meng Yan is a chinese agent trying to make the CCP not look like incompetent fools, by saying it is indeed a weapon (?)

That seems like it would be the worst PR stunt in recorded history.

QuoteA Chinese virologist continues to claim the coronavirus was engineered as a 'bioweapon' and then released. The groups she works for were once led by Steve Bannon.

I fully understand Steve Bannon's foundation is using this as anti-chinese propaganda.

I fully understand she could be paid a lot of money to spread this ideas.

But i dont understand why this money is enough to put herself and her family in a hit-list for the CCP.

Does China treat their scientists like such garbage that someone in her position would be willing to do all of this to get a better life? If it was North Korea i would have zero doubts, but really?

Cain, anyone?

Does the number of justices and judges need to increase with the quantity of the general populace to keep its proportion and pragmatic functioning?

(This is an independent matter of why theyre choosing to expand their numbers right now, which is for flawed reasons)

So apparently we have 80% mortality in patients that get to the point of using respirators, because our medics are so useless that they dont know how to program them properly.

Meanwhile, respirator patients in average worldwide have a mortality of 30%+-

The only thing real going for it is that the drugs are REAL and cause real, psychoactive affects.
The only real thing going for it is that...it's real?  Isn't that a good thing?

Not necessarially, as Fomalhaut said real drugs can cause more harm than sugar pills can, if used in the wrong circumstances.

You mean to say that using an effective and well designed tool for the wrong purpose can be harmful? Holy shit, we need to publish this in a scientific journal and let the world know!

Like another thing is that she was posing as a TV journalist... do TV news rely on child labour these days to fuel their cheap and low quality article sweatshops or do they usually use adults as journalists?

I know Giulani is subhuman trash just from the fact of his "zero-tolerance" policy back in the days, but this is just so convenient... this seems like democrats playing the dirty game republicans play all the time, by smearing and exagerating facts while downplaying others with the same fervor.

Maybe in all practicality im just killing the joke by overanalyzing it, but this is what comes to mind.

Not taking away from all of that, just felt it was an important fact to take into account.

The only good thing that has come out of the election shitfest, was some insult made by some random republican: by calling Democrats "DemonicRats".  :lulz:

That actually sounds like a pretty effective strategy for the simpler topics. Might take that for a spin.

That likely would have been effective when I was calling Bootlickers out as Communists when they brought up regulating what Facebook/Twitter can say/block in response to the Hunter Biden story suppression. They immediately went to "So you agree that we can turn down gays when they apply for marriage?"

There's an obvious difference this argument ignores, and "OHH OKAY GAYS AND INTERNET POSTS SAME THING. BIG SORRY FOR CONFUSION." would have been much more effective at exposing that than the 2-page rant on Constitutional Rights and Legal Precedent I gave instead, that they clearly ignored in its entirety.

"BIG GOVERNMENT BAD, PATERNALISM GOOD"

aaand:

"CIVIL RIGHTS BAD"

Part of it is translating what theyre saying into caveman speech and exposing an existing incongruent dialectic, without misrepresenting it.

Ill try to keep tihs thread in the back of my mind and ill share some 9gag experiences if i find new ones or i remember some.

"Explain to me why illegals being thrown into cages bothers you when you're not an illegal."

This question, asked 50 times per day.

But the problem is, someone else has already over-simplified illegal immigration for a lot of people to: "Illegal mean bad. So illegal immigration bad. So illegal immigrants bad. So cages good."

Well i actually have taken up a very sick hobby, which is arguing with people in 9gag posts... at first i tried speaking like a human being, but with those fascist, white-supremacist incels you CANT. So what did i resort to? Basic propositions in less than 6 words.

Following your example, what would i answer? "MEXICAN BAD, CHEAP LABOUR GOOD"

This style of response is of course, a response to bad faith arguments, which is an evolution of the "Ok boomer" response millenials and the youglings have created... the "Ok boomer" argument in synthesis is "You're just a fucking dinosaur that is detached from current social reality and adaptation to technology" and just dismisses the oppositions argument without even engaging with it.

But this other form of arguing does engage the opposition, frames the debate, and cuts thru the bullshit to get to the core issue.
