Watch, I'll be the only guy who chose pretty.

Why, you ask?

Because it'd be something new. :lulz:

I'm just going to follow you around the board for the next 20 minutes or so with the rimshot emote based on your last 5 posts.   :lulz:

That was very, very good Freeky.  I could feel the sandy despair.

Facebook is now an elaborate marketing tool under the guise of social media.  The fact that you can talk to friends is a secondary feature to your profile now being linked to actual fan pages.  Rather than expensive and difficult market research, there's a convenient place where every person's precise tastes are available to be tailored to.

So yes, I hope this succeeds.  And I will be joining.

I think I'd like to try these.

On the topic of barbecue, believe it or not there's a place in Western MA that gets some recognition as a legit barbecue joint.  It's called Bub's Barbecue, it's in Sunderland.  It's delicious.  Kai, you can have your pulled pork, and I get the appeal, but I will take brisket any day.

For foods that I will pretty much just not eat, I'd say Gefilte fish tops the list.

Man, I hope the guy who gave him the buck finds out about this.  It'd make an interesting anecdote.

American Bourbon Whiskey can be replaced by Mango, Pasion fruit, and Pineapple?!

Hot damn, I'm going to get drunk on Pineapple tonight!

Excellent site.  As someone who never has the right ingredients, I hope I can put it to use.

I don't think its realistic to expect spoilers to be kept secret for 70 years.

Screw that!

I watched Gone with the Wind and Citizen Kane last year as part of an effort to see AFI 100 Greatest Movies (I still have 5 or 6 left that aren't on Netflix).

Citizen Kane is really, really good.  It would have been better, I think, if fucking piece of shit Family Guy didn't have one of their super awesome jokes where Peter told the entire theater the ending.  So there was no mystery for me.

Gone with the Wind is impressive, and not as terrible and difficult to get through as I thought it would be.  It's not the longest movie ever - that still goes to Dances With Wolves, which is about 4 hours with the director's cut (I measure time sometimes by how many Dances With Wolves it is, just got off of 2 Dances With Wolves worth of sleep).  The personal story that Gone with the Wind focuses on I don't really care about, but the larger theme of the vanishing Old South is interesting.

I could have gone my whole life without seeing The Sound of Music, though.

Looks like I've secured a tour of Google from my girlfriend's cousin for this trip.  So I have that, probably wine country, San Francisco for a day or so, and the beach as things I'd like to do.  Are the beaches any good in the bay area?

SPS, are you still available to meet up?  I can PM you some info if so.

is there a wikipage to esplain all this?  perhaps with example pics and diagrams?

 If you had taken the trouble to Wiki it you could have answered your own - kind of offensive - question

Gender refers to the personal inner-sex identity of an individual, irrespective of his or her outer sex, which is determined by his/her/hir sexual organs

and you want pictures - fuck it man find your own damn porn

Odd.  I always thought "Gender" meant your biological state (ie, male or female).

I'm sure some of the more savvy spags will come in and own us all, but I think Gender is more associated with man or woman, not male or female.  That is a reference to social roles and whatnot.  Sex is male or female, which refers to biological state.

My social justice teacher would have my head on a platter for not knowing this.

I see.  I've been going by the dictionary meaning:

Quotegen·der [ jéndər ]
somebody's sex: the sex of a person or organism, or of a whole category of people or organisms
categorization of nouns: the classification of nouns and pronouns in some languages according to the forms taken by adjectives, modifiers, and other grammatical items associated syntactically with them
category of noun: any one of the categories into which nouns and pronouns are divided in languages that have gender, e.g. masculine, feminine, neuter, or common
Synonyms: sex, sexual category, sexual characteristics, masculinity, femininity, sexual role

Hadn't heard the other meaning.

The hell's a dictionary?  Oh Doktor with your antiquities, you slay me!

Lost in Translation.  No shit.  Goddammit.

The opening credits is just a shot of Scarlett Johansen's ass in panties, back in her days of still having some meat on her bones.
