No, that's what anonymous polling is for.  Why would you waste tens of millions of dollars an a year of planning on a series of military exercises to find out "what people think", when you can do it for a few thousand?  Shit, you could probably just run sentiment analysis softwarre under the top 100 linked stories on social media platforms, cut out the polling altogether and move straight to data analysis.

It was pretty blatantly an exercise for SOCOM to prepare for the liberation of northern Iraq from the ISIS "caliphate".

So, in case anyone missed this, while Jade Helm appears to be an American-originated conspiracy theory (as far as I can tell), after it was popularised by Alex Jones, it was picked up on and spread by Russian disinfo networks on social media

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/may/03/martial-law-scare-russian-bots-michael-hayden-jade-helm

Quote
“There was an exercise in Texas called Jade Helm 15 that Russian bots and the American alt-right media convinced most – many – Texans that Obama planned to round up political dissidents, and it got so much traction that the governor of Texas had to call up the [state guard] to observe the federal exercise to keep the population calm,” said Hayden, who was CIA director from 2006 to 2009 after serving as director of the National Security Agency.

Quote
Rumours spread over the internet, now revealed as apparently fuelled by Russian bots, or fake social media accounts controlled by individuals or software applications. These were not discouraged by high-profile figures including Ted Cruz, the US senator, who said he understood “the reason for concern and uncertainty”, and the actor Chuck Norris, who described it as “likely more than a military exercise”.

Discordianism can be made to fit with any particular ideology, given the ingenuity of the person trying to get them to fit together, and the insincerity with which they are willing to approach their own politics.

That said...if you think a goddess of chaos would approve of a hierarchical, ethnically homogenised and sexually retrograde state, it's possible you were never the smartest person to begin with.

I also think anyone with more than a passing knowledge of the Principia Discordia, or who has spent any time on Discordian websites other than those on Facebook, is likely aware these morons are not especially representative.

And yes this literally makes Manafort a cuck.  Go on, get it out of your systems.

Oh, it also turned out that Wikileaks had a data cache on Manafort communications that they chose to not publish, despite its obvious newsworthiness.  Emma Best has released them instead.  http://emma.best/2018/07/20/a-note-on-the-manafort-texts/

Ew.

Texts from Manaforts daughters suggest he forced his wife into group sex against her will on multiple occasions.

Tories screeching about anyone stabbing anyone else in the back is hilarious.  They practically pride themselves on that being the way you climb through the party.

And that's putting aside, you know, the constant leadership race and politicking since Cameron stood down.

NYT is reporting that Michael Cohen secretly recorded audio of Trump discussing the pay offs for porn stars he'd slept with, and that the FBI now has that tape.

Just in time for the mid-terms, too.  Because...Putin is really popular with Americans?

Oh, Republicans also blocked subpoena to get the testimony of the translator at the secret meeting.  Despite, you know, the past 3 days.  Congressional oversight for foreign policy only extends to Mr Ben Ghazi and how Shillary killed him.

Oh, btw, Trump has invited Putin to visit the USA this autumn.
