Cool idea for the Discordian factions shout-out, but I can't decide which I am out of mahadgeueckwal, noob, philosophical, asshat, and pineal. Probly a bit of everything. Also, Tim Bowen (Rev. St. Ol' Boy Floats - ohmyeris.com) is putting out a Discordian interviews book in the summer, featuring Stang/Adam Gorightly/DrJohn and a few of the more well known Internet Discordians. Might be worth talking to him.

This is an extremely interesting idea. I have a smattering of HTML epxerience, a little bit of design layout ability, and I can be longwinded - probably a place in there for me  Whatever I can do to help out I'm game for. For a long, long time now I've just been working up to doing something that lasts, that might make a broader impact. Now I want to actually DO something that makes an impact. I'm definitely interested.

Do we want this to be something like an on-line magazine, something that's both on-line and hard copy, strictly hard copy? If it has a web component, it should include art/music/writings that aren't necessarily part of the main topic-debate focus in a separate section. Many of us have artistic leanings, and self-promotion is always a powerful draw to get people to contribute to something they might otherwise avoid.

i'm working on this.

i just extracted 2261 haikus from the thread (and things that "look like a haiku") [using python regular expressions, the modern variant of "army of trained monkeys"]

the idea is to present the user/audience with, oh, say about 200 haikus per second.
subjecting them to a 10 second experience of "ultimate haiku overdose"

which will hopefully show them what sort of nonsensical line-noise the majority of haikus actually are.
