Zarathustra (because I've always found Zoroastrianism interesting)
Kevin Barry (My namesake. I was born during a surge of Irish patriotic namings) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Barry
Bruce Dickinson and/or Steve Harris (Maiden is my favorite band. Dickinson would probably be easier to talk to, from what I gather)
Mikhail Gorbachyov

and....

I don't know yet.....

Countess Constance Georgine Markiewicz. I hate to double up on both Socialists/Communists as well as Irish revolutionaries from the 20th Century, but I realized everyone else on the list was a dude. She was the first chick that popped into my head. And she was a bad ass, despite the fact that she was both a Socialist and married to a count, and nobility in her own right.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constance_Markiewicz#Marriage_and_early_politics

Harry Patch, Alan Moore, Tesla, Saladin, Terence McKenna.

But if you ask me next week, it will probably be a completely different list, and might contain Charlie Manson.

I'm not really a Manson 'Fan' as such, but I do find him interesting, in that he is a rare example of a living, breathing "Demonised man". He is unusually self aware and intelligent too, as regards exactly what has been done to him. Hardly a danger now though. Not sure if he ever was much of a danger really. Took all the blame though, despite not being convicted of actual, you know, . . murder.

I was wondering that but was afraid to ask.

I don't think Manson is bat shit crazy, I think he's a fucking evil genius.

If he was a genius, he wouldn't have gotten caught.

He's a charismatic psychotic, who arranged a bunch of senseless murders, and then went to jail to get buggered by other psychos.

I can see that argument as well.  I just mean he isn't drooling, rubber room nuts.  Does that make sense?

By "Done to him" I meant being held up as some kind of Messianic Antichrist, whose Svengali like influence stole innocent Hippy kids away from their loving, mid American homes and families, and turned them into his own apocalyptic Army of mindwiped killbots.

I only said I thought he was interesting. I'm not holding him up as some sort of moralis examplar for a generation of  misunderstood Hippys!

eta;; Yes, I did totally make up " moralis examplar".
