QUIT AGREEING WITH ME AND FIGHT BACK, YOU LOLLI-DOODLES.

Worst forum on the internet, my ass.  If you agree with what I'm saying, then at least attack my writing, or dish out a decent ad hominem.  I didn't post a rant so you could reward me with tea and cookies.
Your writing is fine and I'm sure my knowing you personally would only disappoint the horrible opinion I laboriously crafted of you over time. Still, I think you may just deserve more than faint praise.

Who really cares about apathy?
Those who don't understand it.

The news stories I am seeing suggest that they were intended to be discovered, but that going off was a "useful" side effect if it happened. They were capable of it but not set up properly for it (specifically, one source says they didn't have enough batteries to set themselves off when the circuit connected, under most circumstances).

They were still dangerous and very well could have gone off despite the issues, but this was all more of a message than anything else, is what I'm getting out of it.

I'm clearly not pessimistic enough.  "It doesn't matter if the bomb goes off or not" isn't an option I'd considered.
Maybe it matters that such devices were "hypothetically functional albeit rudimentary?"

Well, this happened.

I am legitimately surprised that it took this long and yet ever happened at all. I figured it would have been all or nothing for this fucking swine.

I guess he's letting us know where we're heading. Barbed wire and ammunition futures truly are the smart investments, boys and girls.

Being a nationalist, he could always still appeal to the socialist demographic

I have no idea what you all are talking about, and I find that kinda stylish. Kutszchner talking what "the data" was saying about the polls though, that, that gave me pause.

Suddenly, the bank just charged for bill on cash deposit account, after they had automatically moved that sum to savings. My, today's gonna be a romp.

QuoteIn typical Gurdjieff fashion (ie absurd absolutist statements) he said "You should never praise children."

Statistically, this is the correct form of conditioning given how performance should be expected to decline after any 'exceptionally positive' incident worthy of praise.

The future is not something into which we can see.
The future is that which allows me to to think 'I can',

Because of an enduring personnel problem, pets will now be matched to simulate the character of their 'owners'. This is meant to generate a personal rapport that approximates the identification of one to other. Secretly, these pets will record everything their owner does for posterity. Because of that enduring personnel problem, the owner's next-life parents will be clones programed with the data obtained from their pets.

Sometimes, when a major internet service goes down, I imagine that the United States has been annihilated in a major nuclear attack.

But I always end up disappointed.

Me, I've been pleasantly surprised for like 75 years and counting.

YouTub3 just crashed; I was checking-out maze-solving algorithms. Nothing to see here.

Yeah, it got me too.  At first I thought it was my browser fucking up, so I deleted all my cookies and history....but nope.  Google fucks up again (probably)

I was projecting a negative value judgement: "man this guy needs to get a life" I kept saying to myself about the person I was watching. Then the irony hit me hard when it crashed on Godel's bit.  :lulz:

[edit: I was bored and looking forward to the bit on Godel's incompleteness theorem, clicked on it, and then everything went down. For some reason I find this marvelous]
