For me, it makes a better mystery if it wasn't meant to be "special", but there were things so horrific in it that it was universally abhored. YES. A regular issue, that for whatever reason infuriated people to no end.
So much so, that we've turned against our usual attitudes of anti-censorship and sheepishly tucked the issue away, allowing only allusions to its existence.
