News:

Bigotry is abound, apprently, within these boards.  There is a level of supposed tolerance I will have no part of.  Obviously, it seems to be well-embraced here.  I have finally found something more fucked up than what I'm used to.  Congrats. - Ruby

welcome to the land of unverifiable claims

enjoy your stay

it doesnt change much in these parts so try to get comfortable

Well, if my claims are unverifiable, then that implies that they are also not prone to being disproven.

And THAT implies that your claim is unverifiable.

So what was your point, at least in asking that question?
yeah
but see the difference is this:

im not settled in my claims

and im willing to ditch them at any given moment when something more useful comes along

im even willing to deny that i ever held a particular point of view in the past if it would prove fruitful to do so

and i definitely dont attack new shit just by virtue of it clashing with how im currently seeing things

why dismiss things without taking a good look at it?

seems retarded

No way dude - that's freedom  :troll:

Shut up, Slave.  Bipeds are talking.

TGGR OD'd on comeback inhibitors.

It's much more of a buzz getting away with it if there's an oppressor tho. Oppression is like freedom plus excitement.

...You said so yourself.

I don't get it. Am I supposed to argue this point? Freedom is for pussies. It's some kind of wierdass idealists pipedream. To believe you can make it is just about as much of a delusion as the belief that you have it.

SRSLY - for the record - I said so myself.

All written language and most intellectual thought is accomplished using symbols. Ours is called the alphabet. If you want to get into maths our system was actually so shit that we adopted the arab system of symbolism, since those fuckers totally pwned the shit out of mathematics back then.

If reading something can make you better at doing something that involves any degree of thinking then the answer is yes. Symbols can be employed to make your brain more effective. this in the context that we're talking in terms of mind here and not biology. If it's the biological one we're asking about then I'd advise reading a book on diet and then go exchange some currency for whatever fruit or vitamin you think you'd benefit from.

Free? LOL That's the punchline right there. Dude who's accusing me of irrational beliefs still buys into that free bullshit.

Easy.  You want to understand religion and it's effects?  Great.  Study monkeys at worship.  Don't pretend their rituals have any more power or effect - or have any more structure - than any other ritual (which is to say, they fool only their own adherents, and have NO effect on the rest of the world, other than as expressed by their adherents).

If you want to have an effect on your consciousness apply ritual. It's psychosomatic. That means it does have an effect on your mind. If you analyse that effect and find a way of refining it and creating repeatable conditions you have an occult system. The difference between this and religious bullshit is serious occultists know it's psychosomatic. That's an argument against believing in bullshit but it's an equally compelling argument for exploration of effects.

The occult is a system of mental tweaks and programming that fine tunes your brain. Just like in any walk of life 99% of the practitioners are fuckheads who don't get it. So they give it a bad name. The "all the people who do 'X' are idiots" argument never really held much sway for me. Almost all the people on this fucking planet will only be any use as fertiliser. Doesn't make me wanna give up being a human.

The average human mind is a pathetic, cobbled together, self defining algorithm that was developed by hit and miss evolution. I wanna improve mine by design and I'll try anything that looks like it's might help.

I prefer the old fashioned "give 'em enough rope" approach. Best not waste a golden opportunity for idiots to make themselves look stupid.

The possiblity that some stupid fucks will freak out and scream 'racism' is good enough for me.

Nothing fucking works anyway. Slamming someone in the face with a barstool might as a short term measure but ultimately only by escalating this to absolute genocide could you ever solve the BIP. Why bother trying anything?

I explore my own psychology on account of it's a piece of piss to do so and it's interesting. Same as it's interesting driving cars really fast. BIP is about influencing the way people think. To do that it helps if you know how a mind works. If I want to know how something works I take it to bits and see.

So I find out two things in there, on account of I broke mine the first couple of times.

1- psychology can be influenced by chemicals
2- psychology can be influenced by ideas

number 1 is too tricky to pull off. Spiking someone with just the right dose of just the right chemical is likely to do as much harm as good in the attempt to get your point across. Of course if you abandon the point-making and just want the shits and giggles then spiking them with a huge hit of acid should be good for a laugh

number 2 is also tricky, there's a lot of work involved, lotta stuff to learn. And you need some kinda of notation to keep it all in order.

I practice both on myself and occasionally will test the second one on others.

Bottom line - there's next to nothing you can do for others, they're pretty much fucked unless they've more or less decided to make steps themself The best you can hope for is to be there to push them over the edge.

The only thing that got my goat was rog's insistence that this wasn't 'the best way to dead with bip' - sounded too much like an evangelist. Like there could be a best way. The best way is whatever the fuck you feel like doing. Make a poster, deface a government building, stab someone in the throat, fuck a horse... use wierd diagrams to fuck with your own mind.

'the best way' = same attitude that believes the constitution could ever be anything more than idealistic hippy bullshit.

My workflow is usually adobe premier for raw cap and export -> adobe after effects for additional animation/effects then back to premier for final editing.

*edit - creepy head was meant to read out poeecasts. I suppose if LMNO is gonna do most of these it would help if he had a camcorder, Failing that I could try my best to lip-sync. Maybe outa sync lips might add to the whole thing.

Dibs on POEEcasts, with the intent that someone puts video to it, so we can invade YouTube.

I been wracking my brains for visuals to go along with poeecasts for some time now but so far drawn a blank. If anyone has any ideas I'll be more than happy to try make them happen at 30fps.

Noticed no takers of creepy face makeovers. Did this idea suck or did it get forgot? I can animate the face against pretty much any backdrop you care to mention. Yeah there's an obvious theme developing here - babyj = disembodied head, creepy face = disembodied head. So I'm a disembodied head - guy. I can do other stuff too, maybe...

Also of note so far creepy face (30mins work) has had twice as many hits as babyj-ep1 (3weeks work) by applying a formula to this I can arrive at the firm conclusion that I can reach over a billion hits by spending no more than 13.3 nanoseconds producing my next vid.
