TGRR isn't slack, but TGRR has helped me realize at times what slack means and how I can make it for myself.
Anything that gets your perspective workin' in a different way can be similar.
It's not the goal, but it can be part of the journey.

I would say if you're prone to freak out (anxious/nervous/self-doubt/paranoid) sober, you're prone to freak out tripping. may well be an oversimplification though.

Ah yeah. that's what I meant anyway.

At certain times I've been in a wild perspective which is equally 100% romantic and 100% cynical and the two are one and the same. Full of laughter that is equally shrugging and loving. I know what you mean when you say the cynicism feels so good. I think that kind of cynicism can help a person to realize they should just go for what they want in this whirl of dust we call life - and the romanticism can do the same, with a lens of proper prescription.

Fun stuff! Waffle how do you know when they're serious or not?

The top comment on that video talks about the tongue-in-cheekness of the genre (without excepting that vid)...

Principia Discussion / Re: Discordianism vs. Subgenius

Subgenii are arrogant and confused, Discordians are confused and arrogant. Both are smelly and that's why I stay away from them.

Okay. I was just pondering the ideas brought up, anyway. Also good on Nigel and all the Intermittens people for some recognition.

Hmmm! Noticing and overcoming the 2nd circuit as it is revealed and fed by the internet!
Nice poem, simple, easy to read and to the point. Reminds me of Dr. Seuss style.

Interesting interview. The "level of incompetence" bit is worth mulling over, in connection to the BIP idea / reality tunnels. I guess "promotion" would be increasing liberation ... level of incompetence could be either one's limiting belief systems, or one's physical bio-/neuro- limitations.

A little funny, but mainly unnerving - I get the satire/mood of Christian form, but putting Discordian catma into it feels twisted. Seems inappropriate, even ominous about an alternate or future Discordianity.
In other words I could see this posted at a Catholic church for shits and giggles,
but I wouldn't hang it in my home..

Principia Discussion / Re: The Portland Vase

Seems like a stretch to me. There's a marriage-related image and a Trojan War -related image or two, but the ambiguity and the variety of imagery seems to preclude a relation to Eris' particular involvement. In other words it's not depicting the scene Eris was involved in, so why would it be strange that it doesn't depict her?
I'm going by the Wikipedia description, here.
