Jon Stewart's had a kickass week. He seemed genuinely psyched by Obama's appearance at the GOP conference. If you've been waiting for Obama to start telling bitches off, check out this video:

During the interview later in the show, he told the white house guy that it was the "best thing he'd ever seen on TV".

Jon Stewart called up Bill O'Reilley and got a spot on the O'Reilley Factor so he could tell it to Bill's face. Here's how it appeared on TV:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWb-Ygu1VcA
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmbvZeqScO0
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vA6rSGLF4Yk

this is a HOOT. Jon and Bill throw each other around a fair amount. It's very interesting to watch.
it's also heavily edited. The full version is here, but I haven't watched it so I'm not sure if it contains bill's commentary.

In part 2, Bill sits down with a body language expert to analyzes the interaction. This part made me want to tear the skin off my face.

Jon followed up on the interview here:

Jon Consults His Therapist
Jon works through his feelings about "The O'Reilly Factor" interview with his therapist, Dr. Rubin.

ETA:  Well, that was pretty fucking good.  I need to watch the therapist bit, but I gotta work and do the Mom thing, so later.  But wow.  Pretty fucking awesome indeed.

Triple Zero

Well, you do also watch Bill Maher, so he's probably not too far off the mark.

frankly I am somewhat surprised by that cuz he was getting BITCHY by the end of the lat season. He treats his audiences like SHIT!

Unedited interview was pure entertainment gold.

His audiences do tend to boo at anything politically incorrect or which strays from a left-wing/progressive talking point line.. I kinda think they deserve the ugly looks he throws at them sometimes.  But that last episode made me feel downright uncomfortable, especially the fight with Alec Baldwin - "at least I don't sleep with my interns, Alec!"

Thanks for posting this Cram.

I don't really watch either Stewart or Colbert any more. I once found them funny but even satire can get old when the world is going down the tubes. Especially when no one seems to have workable solutions.

TBH, this was the only thing worth watching. The Republicans need to become actual republicans or their party is totally fucked, which would leave us with a) a 1 party system or b) the "tea party" as the democratic opposition?

StD,
kinda wishes someone would resurrect the Bull-moose party...
