No, we're not mercenaries. We just carry weapons and kill things for the joy of the experience.

Bump, and thanks! I shall check the punctuation.

I've written a bunch of other stuff, but at the moment I don't have enough impressive photos of nocturnal cityscapes and stuff like that.
Today I made this piece though. I'm not sure if I should include it in the book, for it's perhaps a bit too strongly influenced by you people, and I'd kind of like to avoid just rephrasing the BIP into a more visual shape, but still.

Oh, wait, the actual reason I started writing here: I think Sexy Commando is even cooler than moustaches, talking about the best martial art ever. The main strategy is to confuse the opponent before attacking. Effective and deadly, oh yes.

Man this is awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhNubQ2cdZo

I've practiced Hokutoryu Jujutsu for a few years and it has proven itself rather useful, but it hasn't spread too far outside the borders of Finland, I guess.

In actual self-defence/ass-kicking though, the emphasis isn't on the details of each style or the techniques you've reheased. Any "serious" martial art can be as good as the other, for what you really need to learn are mainly things like getting accustomed to the situation, being able to react to the attack, thinking fast, etc. The basic ways to hurt people don't change, and while there are lots of tricks that are probably good to know, the winner of an average brawl isn't necessarily the one with years of practice in epic power kung fu, but rather the participant who "dares" to beat the living shit out of the other one; people with little experience seldom fight as hard as they could, because they subconciously don't want to hurt another person so badly. People need a lot of conditioning to be effective, and it's hard to predict how you'll act before you get into the situation where you need to defend yourself - some people forget the fancy techniques almost completely and just rely on their instincts, some manage to keep calmer and make use of all the nice stuff they've learned.

I, of course, am a pacifist entirely, and therefore do not support solving problems by violence. But, um, you never know, right?

I got this idea of drawing a Sailor Eris comic, googled it to see if someone else has already done it, and found this.
I'm a bit dissappointed though, especially when the title of the second vid is "Sparkling Vengeance Shot". All she does is jump around as some kind of a lame shadow, when she should at the very least be bitchslapping the shit out of the entire universe and tearing continents into pieces with her nail extensions. :argh!:

This shit seems to be working fine so far.  :lulz: Last weekend was a magnificent bonfire of weird shit and spaggotry, which is to say that the meetup of a Finnish sci-fi and fantasy forum at my place turned out a lot stranger than I expected.

On Friday, my brother gave me this as some kind of a birthday present, which was a surprise in itself (we never ever exchange gifts, unless punching each other in the face and yelling "surprise!" counts):

The actual meetup was pure lulz, including two fucking epic rounds of 1000 Blank White Cards and definitely too much Robot Unicorn Attack. We bought broccoli in order to film a clip in which we destroy it in extremely creative ways, but I think we just forgot that, so we just kicked it around the apartment. At some point we decided to make some tea, and kick the tea bags around the place too, for reasons which probably made a lot of sense at the time, but now... Well, yeah. And all of this was done without even a drop of alcohol.
At some point, we decided to go outside and play King of the Hill on the snowhills on a parking lot nearby. I was sure we'd all end up in the hospital dying in horrible pains, with random limbs broken or buried in the snow somewhere, but we survived with some bruises and a nosebleed and one aching knee.

There were pillow, snowball and sock fights. And also a personal drama element because my ex was there too, and we probably still had some stuff to talk about and blah blah blah. Which apparently resulted in lots of confusion on both sides, the stupid "man, what if we hadn't broken up after all" kind of confusion. But I'll probably not be able to blame that on Eris.
(Well, except for the fact that maybe it would be easier not to think of him if he hadn't thrown that tea bag which somehow doesn't seem to drop from my ceiling. It's a very nice reminder. :lulz:)

So, yeah. Thanks, Eris.

On most tests I'm ENFP, and I think the description is rather accurate, except that I tend to have long, more introverted phases.

http://www.counterculturemonarchyofdiscordianism.com/cmdlandmain/index.html - I have absolutely no idea of what this is about.

Woah, this is interesting. It's apparently by a Croatian culture jamming group at Kunstterrorist.com, which had connections to the KLF and stuff.

Quote from: Kunstterrorist.comKunstterrorist Organisation revolves around the idea that art terrorism is defined as the substitute application or medium for violence or threatened state intended to sow panic in society. Instead of terror, art terrorism or postmodern art terrorism is intended to express the terror on more fashionable and contemporary way, via art.

Quote from: WikipediaMembers of KTOrg claim that they are settled in a fictional country they call "Counterculture Monarchy of Discordianism" (www.cmdland.com). Members discussed the reasons for creating the fictional country as purely out of copyright reasons. In 2008, cmdland.com published several fake company web sites that look as if they were real corporate web pages. The launch of fake web sites was explained in the official newsletter from the organisation as "The beginning of something wonderful".
