I did that with a science fiction story, about 3 years ago.  I realized the next day (after having some sleep) that the story I wrote wasn't word for word someone else's, but the plot was someone else's.  I hauled it down the next day and fessed up.  Cain may have the same bullet points, but if the commentary was the same, Zen Magickque would have done the triumphant reveal by now.
