The best way to deal with bip? I'd be interested in hearing an empirical one. I don't have any better way of communicating with these guys other than this board. Is it so much hassle for you to ignore? Could always label threads with a warning tag or something. Maybe even have a bullshit occult mystical subsection somewhere? That you don't have to look at.

The beauty of flowcharts is they instantly describe your paradigm but they can just as easily be refined, modified, trashed.. etc.

What I'm looking for is a really easily understood visual system you can use to describe stuff.

To illustrate where I see this going I've done a sequel to the diagram I posted last night. I still don't think it's quite specific enough to be applied to any particular tarot card but with a bit of adding stuff it might be something along the lines of the sun. It's still way to basic to be anything useful but I'm sure you can imagine the potential.

2 - would "interface" be a proper word for this "projection system" cause that's what it makes me thin kof. a bit like the dark grey boxes (prisons) in one of LHXs diagrams.

I think the whole thing and each individual part can be construed as interfacing in some way. The bit I was describing as 'projection system' is more along the lines of the 3-d engine in  game. It is an interface but then so is the link between sensory and normal consciousness

Was thinking more along the lines of - among the half dozen people here who are into stuff like this. You're right nothing universal is possible, ever. Why even bother trying? Come up with your own system (by own I mean with the input of a small group) then, if it's any good, a few others will adopt it. I'm always interested in magicque without the bullshit. Crowley did it without tears which was a good start but the next step is without the trappings of centuries of funky robes and rituals and shit.

New occult system. With common mapping symbols we can share and explore/expand formulae without resorting to all that ancient enochian or talismanic crap.

One does not 'move' per se. Arrow is the direction of focus or information flow.

you take a look around
weird shit is going on
you look at the map to orient yourself
determine where you want to go
and the map helps you navigate the territory better

(hope thats not too mahdgickqual)


the twist that this map would have is that it could be translatable into different 'languages', ciphers or lingos
- this allows you to be better able to look at things from differences of angles



from another angle - it could also be seen as a creativity device - a 'idea generator'

I'm totally down with that. This project I see working like a kinda mapping conventions dictionary. We've already agreed that making your own map is a good idea (as long as you don't start eating it) And I think we have enough smart brains here to come up with something reasonably awesome. This should be a personal system within our circle, initially a way of communicating ideas rapidly and effectively but, if we come up with something good we may just be able to tart it up in enough pseudo mystical bullshit to make a tidy profit selling books about it to neopagans.
