I wonder, if Khara were to continue digging and eventually discover she is mistaken, would she have it in her to post her results and admit the mistake?

"Accomplishing the impossible" is a very bourgeoise aspiration.

Since this seems so important to you, I decided to help you.
2nd google result for "FAFSA with a felony"
http://en.allexperts.com/q/College-Financial-Aid-2030/Felony.htm
Yeah, bullshit. I just looked at the actual application. This is just a "glitzier" form of ehow, yahoo questions and such.
I really don't care dude.
You're a douche.

Unless it was a juvenile offense.
It was not. I was tried and convicted as an adult, hence spending time in Sturtevant and 4 years on probation.
Then you LIED ON THE APPLICATION and if you get caught you are FUCKED!!!!

Actually it looks like they will forgive a first time felony drug conviction and allow financial aid after certain criteria are met. Go figure.
But your conviction wasn't drugs right trix?
No, I was convicted of Party to a Crime: Armed Burglary.
And, before it's mentioned, no, I don't mean armed robbery. We broke into a house and stole guns, we didn't rob people at gunpoint. And yes, it was a retarded thing to do.
I just went thru the FAFSA application. You conveniently forgot to answer if you had been convicted of a felony period. If you get caught, you will have to repay all the money they have given you no tto mention the potential criminal charges.....
Good job!!

Felony only bars you from financial aid if it's a drug conviction.
Not true.
Not true AT ALL!!!
Yeah, I looked it up and you can't get Federal aid with any conviction felony that is still on your record.
But he's being so sketchy and vague (and then "I don't want to talk about the details") that I've just been assuming he's lying about something one way or the other. I and others here have been very open about our histories, despite them often being pretty uncomfortable, so if he wants to claim validity speaking from the perspective of someone who has experienced childhood deprivation he should probably ante up some good stories like the rest of us have. Hell, even DP told a couple harrowing stories from his past.
Not sure where you looked that up, but I have a felony conviction. It's on my record. I go to college and receive Financial Aid. Therefore, your information is incorrect. Did you look it up for the state of Wisconsin?
Federal. Federal. State. State.
See what I did there?

suit yourself.
makes it a tougher row to hoe, though, no?
so, right now there's some people that are determined to not like you. you say something, and immediately one of these people says, 'that was stupid. you're stupid. why you gotta be stupid, stupid?'
how would you characterize your current response tactic, why is it not working, and how will you change it?

Have yourself a little perspective here, Dok.
Are you seriously telling Howl to get a little perspective here, after everything you've said ITT?
I have found a "sense of perspective" to be needlessly limiting.
Particularly when he says "A little sense of perspective" but means "MY sense of perspective".
Of course it boils down to "I'm right because I am me" and, well, yeah. That kinda shit ain't your bag.
In case you've missed it, I've admitted, right here in this thread, right in the middle of taking shit from all sides, that some of the things I said were rather stupid. Of course, predictably, the admission was passed over in favor of more fodder for the cannon. Hell, several people continued as if it never even took place.
Welcome to Discordia. Wear a hat.

Tried that before too. Can you guess what happens?
The problem is as Ippie described. Some people would judge a post on it's merit, individually, but all too many of you see the 'trix' moniker and knee-jerk. Then pick out a specific, often unrelated, part of the post, and use that as fodder for the cannon.
ETA: Not that that's what is happening NOW, at this point, but that is what began the derailment of the thread.
This is a social site. That means that the usual social rules apply, only slightly modified.
If you were at a party, and you acted like an ass and people got a bad impression of who you are, it's going to take a while to change their minds.
So you have to expect that some people will still be hatin' when you post somewhere else. So you need to be mindful of that, and conciously not be an ass for a long enough time for people's opinion of you to change.
If you are incapable of not being an ass, well... you may just want to leave the party.
