What pisses me off more than Gunn being fired in particular is the notion that this is the test run for a never-ending campaign of hitjobs like this.
And what pisses me off even more than that is that nobody wants to own up to the fact that this was always a flaw of call-out culture, and that while trying rapists and abusers in the court of public opinion is all well and good for people who otherwise would be untouchable, but can we all agree that shouldn't be the end goal? Like, isn't it time we started, y'know, fixing the legal system so victims can actually get justice? No? Just keep dragging celebrities cuz it makes us feel good? Well alright then.

I'm down to be a cyborg.

so while we're writing off groups of liberals, can we also write off anyone who is fully aware that the campaign against James Gunn was orchestrated by the Alt-right, but still decries him and anyone who defends him, because apparently punishing someone for cringy tweets we already knew about ten years ago is somehow higher priority than NOT playing into the hands of Nazis?

Wife's been down with strep for a week, in the middle of her preparing for her final apprentice exams (floristry). I'm fucking exhausted. Not that I'm complaining, mind. Just looking forward to having my days in the usual routine.

I hope your wife gets better.  I am a little shocked that a combat florist would be knocked down by a little strep, though.
Hope you wife gets well soon.

also i would totally watch an anime about combat florists.

Got set up with a new glucometer. Blood Sugar seems to be doing fine, i'm having pretty controlled readings so far, with none of the weird spikes i was seeing before.

Instrumentation issues are a bitch.
Yuuuuuup. Tho I got the results from my last A1C back. 5.4 %. So, I guess I'm technically normal now? Gotta see the doc to see what that means going forward. Wondering if this means I can stop taking metformin and possibly enjoy a beer on a regular basis again.

I think I remember reading that mariachi music actually is the product of European immigrants to Mexico, so there's probably something to this.

Also, bratwurst tacos have got to be the best premise for a food truck I've heard in forever.

Yea, I talked to the local pharmacist today, they said it could be the glucometer itself. I do remember one incident a while back where control fluid seeped into the slit where the strips go, maybe that's fucked it up.

1. I had dinner later than usual, around 8ish.
2. *Shrugs* seems like it usually works for me. Keep in mind I weigh more than most people.
3. I generally test on whichever finger feels less sensitive than the others.

I'd be willing to chalk this up to bad diet, except there was a another thing last week where I woke up and tested at 57 despite feeling completely normal, and then retested at like, 97. So I'm wondering if my testing equipment is just off. I haven't had the solution to test this vial of test strips, so it's possible that my data for the last few weeks is inaccurate
