Chat? Voice, video?

Wait, are you people seriously asking for Stickam?  :lulz: :lulz: I kid. But seriously, if you got something like that up and running that'd be awesome.

I like jazz, dubstep (I can provide examples of good dubstep, too! I'm serious!), metal, J-pop, and any other genre you care to name. I only hate one band, and that is Enter Shikari. I hate Enter Shikari because they manage to take every genre I got into music with, and make it somehow suck so horribly even -I- hate it.

Also, Roger, if you hate dubstep, you will never get over this stuff called illbient.

On the subject of good dubstep... Look for Loefah's "Indian Dub". I'd give a Youtube but it only has the godawful Skream remix. If you like the harsher stuff, look no further than Roguestar's Stay Calm: (Skip to :30 to avoid a long and shitty intro.)

And if you like stuff that's simply insane... This song will give you enough to never stop laughing again. EDIT WRONG SONG LOOKING AGAIN.EDIT IT'S GONE FROM THE INTERNET. THE SONG I WAS THINKING OF HAD WACKY JAPANESE SINGING AND WEIRDNESS AND I CANNOT FIND IT. SORRY.

I said we live in the projects too. The  so-called "owners" have never set foot inside any of these places and probably don't even know what the outsides look like.

I am in fact stuck living here. Sucks, but we can't move. I personally am moving sans family, however, as soon as I can make my computer and important data something I can carry in a bag. (I'm hoping I can buy that laptop soon...) It's scary, yeah, but like I said, I have a Safe Place and that makes it something I can deal with for awhile.

D is the big one, yes. (How is A not valid? Video recording devices are damn expensive, especially ones worth half a damn. I have a broken webcam. Broken as in doesn't work at all.) I know I'm not being fucked with, I've seen the things appear and disappear before my eyes, we've all been in the room at the same time during such occasions, the screams and such often occur when everyone's asleep, etc. (Also worth mentioning that these are NOT stories. The stuff in my last post is stuff that I have personally witnessed with the (noted) exception of stitches-face, who I don't believe exists.)

I don't WANT to find out I'm hallucinating hardcore all the time though. If I start seeing things in every day life, that's different. But while these things do (rarely) interfere with my life, they are strictly confined to the inside of my house. The panic presence can follow me out the door by ten feet at most, and after that point I see nothing, hear nothing, feel nothing. I'm fine. I don't want to end up taking drugs enough to put me in a waking coma for days at a time, or being locked up in the psych unit just because of something that occurs solely in my house that OTHER PEOPLE HAVE NOTICED. Even if I'm hallucinating them noticing it or other Matrixy "What is actually fucking real?" stuff.

Four big reasons I haven't.

A: I have nothing to film them with. Really.

B: The "patterns" aren't perfect for the apparitions. There are no circumstances where they will appear for certain no questions asked.

C: These things are fucking SCARY. All of them (except the mist, which I imagine would be hard to film) carry with them a feeling of pure, unadulterated piss-all-over-the-floor, scream-and-run-and-hope-you-can-hide, heart-thumping, pants-shitting TERROR. My tests led to a lot of screams and at least one occasion of minor injury. If I could think enough to get the camera out, I could make no guarantee of holding it straight enough to film jack shit.

D: Even if none of the above were true, I'm scared of finding out it's all in my head. That would be the worst thing for me. I already KNOW I'm nuts, but I don't want to be -that- nuts.

I've been doing some testing. It might just be in my head, as said before, but it seems like there's more activity when I do certain things. For example, having either a lot of lights on or no lights on both seem to cause the activity. Having just 4 or 5 seems fine.

The louder I am downstairs, the more obvious the panic presence is. If I'm dead quiet it's just a little nagging itch at the back of my head telling me I'm not welcome the entire time until I'm back in my room. If I'm loud, it'll make me feel significantly less uneasy until I get to the stairs when it becomes blinding "GET THE FUCK OUT".

The black mists are connected to low light. If it's too dark they won't appear (or maybe they just blend in) and if it's too bright they won't appear. The smells and sounds are connected to people in some way. If more than one person is awake, the smells appear. The sounds only occur when one person is awake and are at their peak when that person is trying to sleep.

The apparitions are mostly unconnected, but they appear MOSTLY either at early morning (like just before dawn) or dead middle of the day, always up stairs and usually near the stairwell. They are ALL faceless, headless, or in one case without anything above the waist. (Though my mom said she recently saw one with huge black stitches all over the blank face, I don't buy that because it doesn't fit the pattern and sounds like fucking Silent Hill. Plus I haven't seen it.) They appear in predictable patterns, but they seem very aware. I had the misfortune of being menaced into my room by a headless man earlier today, for example, who then slammed the door shut.

Mostly I've felt rather safe in my room, which is why I've been ignoring this. It doesn't seem as important so long as I have a Safe Place, which was being violated strongly when I posted this.

For the curious, I've looked some of the stuff up regarding the history of the place. There WAS a fire, but no one was home when it happened. The history of the land is pretty vague, but apparently it was never much of anything until the county bought it from the land owner and turned it into a housing project. (Yeah, it's the projects. I'm poor, stfu.) The city DID have a lot of citizens involved in the civil war, but to the best of my knowledge there were never houses in the area of where I'm living until recent times.

I've also contacted some people in the "ghost hunting" field, and they're all telling me that it fits a "demonic" haunting. I'd giggle at them, except that faceless people in offensively formal clothing and things that are missing everything above the waist are fucking scary as hell and these "experts" all admit that they don't know what "demon" means except "definitely-not-human".

FTR, I don't really take ghost-hunters seriously but I DEFINITELY take ghosts seriously and these are different from all the hauntings I've read up on. (And if anyone knows of any similar hauntings that they've read of, hook me up, I'm interested.) That being the case, I say the ghost-hunter "demon" is as good a guess as anyone is capable of offering.

I like jazz more than most music, simply because it's the roots of a lot of modern music.

That said, most music people know as jazz is either best listened to in the spirit of Merzbow, or listened to while passed out cold.

I prefer me some big band jazz. Horn sections the size of a third world country? Fuck yeah.

Tapes sucked unless you were a musician working with tape loops.

Perhaps you can use the fact that most people wouldn't know the difference between Quetzocoatl and Tezcatlipoca if it snuck up behind them and damned them to eternal torment.
I loled so hard at this.

It helps that I know too much about the dead religions of Central/South America.

Absolutely. But we need to wait a little while. I don't do veal.

Hold on a second.  Isn't the main complaint about veal that they raise the calves in horrible conditions?

That calf doesn't look like it's being force-fed in a box; hence, it should be as ok to kill as any other cow.

That and it's a dairy farm. So they won't slaughter him anyway. They'll raise him to be a bull and breed.

I hate to break it to you, but most of the male calves born on dairy farms get eaten, because they really don't need that many bulls.

They need to appeal to the fetish market, then.  They already have the machines, right?
