TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

Screaming for effect works, IMO, in public addresses.
Not on TV, it doesn't look or sound quite right.

Well, it wasn't a very high quality scream, but at least he tried.

When you do shit like that, you have to go totally berserk, or it just doesn't make the nut.

It also didn't help that the media decided to play it up like he was a nutjob.  If they had taken a different tac the public would have had a totally different reaction.

This is why you don't advertise an anti-corporate message in the corporate media.

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."

"I dispose of obsolete meat machines.  Not because I hate them (I do) and not because they deserve it (they do), but because they are in the way and those older ones don't meet emissions codes.  They emit too much.  You don't like them and I don't like them, so spare me the hysteria."

Kind of weird rereading my thoughts on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.  My basic views are the same.  I do see the mistake of trying to take on Iraq before making any headway with Afghanistan.  Almost a decade later I can imagine how different things would look if we and our international allies had been able to take all the resources committed to Iraq and been able to focus them on Afghanistan.

Also not sure I would describe myself with the term "liberal" anymore.  I tend to shy away from most labels like that anymore as it strikes me easy to devolve into an "us" vs "them" mentality.

Still working our way out of debt.  We've managed to pay off 70K in 5 years.  Only another 60K to go.  Still alot, but we can see light at the end of the tunnel.
