Contentment is not an option, it comes in short burst between periods where you will be so busy you wont even have time to think of your feelings, or it will be the brief interlude between the scurrying attempts to satisfy some goal deigned by you important enough to try for. Love? change the world? A house? A job? Find some meaning or truth? ALL are abstractions, something for you to fixate on, to swing the sinusoid back to that brief moment of contentment.
and it is always brief.

[emo]
I am bored with everything
I don't care if I find someone who loves me or that I can love any more
I don't want to change the world
and I don't want to settle down and work
I don't want to expand my mind, though it does help me get better points of view on me depression or apathy or whatever the fuck
but that's all it ever does
shows the same damn void from multiple angle.

The apathy in itself allows for more freedom but not much, I have a little bit of fun, I'm a security guard, and I discovered that I can go wherever I want in uniform and no one will question it, I cut my journey through town by about twenty min daily by going a strait line through two sets of shops backrooms and rear exits. Its small bits of fun like this that make it seem less grey but I want more. I came here because I want to make my life more interesting, any suggestions barring clock tower and rifle.

Some yahoo yelled at me, saying 'GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH', and I thought, "I'm feeling generous today.  Why not BOTH?"

Well, there's always forums that are half dedicated to vaguely religious books written forty years ago to take your mind off things.

Guess you've already tried that, though.
How about an out-of-context drug reference?

I suggest going for artistic works.  Seriously.  Creative pursuits.  Perhaps throw your lot in with odd cults and strange political movements, thats always good for a laugh.

interesting == trouble

get into it.

(my advice)

this is already interesting IMO. and doing this every day doesn't give you inspiration for great mindfucks?
so basically you started this thread cause you wanted suggestions?

what can you do while walking in uniform through backrooms and rear exits.

1) leave stuff behind*
2) take stuff with you / misplace it from shop to shop
3) talk to people, try to give em orders
4) figure out how this part of the Machine works, then hack it (orders, lists, invoices ..)
5) etc

to what end? well some would say chaos is an end to itself. i would say chaos with as much lulz as possible is a better end.

* stuff to leave behind:
one great example i read at the 23ae jakes section (i think), is based on the fact that people tend to treat simple bits of metal they don't recognize as "something important". the trick here is to get yourself a large bag with a variety of different nuts and bolts. every time you pass through some back room, leave behind 1 (one) important-looking piece of metal. DO NOT GET CAUGHT.

Good point actually, that interesting = trouble.  Louis L'Amour would have no choice but to agree there.

Over at POEE, there are several pamphlets, tracts, and flyers relating to Discordia.  Leave them neatly stacked in a place where people will see them.

My favorites are the BIP, the Machine,Ñ¢, and Cain's "Rumours" flyer.

every time i hear the word "interesting life" or "interesting times", i have to think of the Terry Pratchett novel. was it called "Interesting Times"?
anyway it mentioned "may you live in Interesting Times" as one of the worst insults ever, because "Interesting Times" usually means trouble, revolution, blood, anarchy, chaos, violence etc etc

boy are we up for some interesting times or what? ;-)

Trouble might be a fun outlet for a while I might try that, the uniform does give me a great amount of freedom, I am in Ireland and the country is really dissatisfied with the government and people listen to what I say now... abuse of authority is only the opinion of people who don't agree with me, authority should not be readily placed anywhere.
I could set an example.

I'm working in a park now so I don't have the access to the shops I used to however I get into conversations with a great deal of people, all of them look afraid of me which is a negative but I have some great conversations, especially with the elderly though some get defensive if we talk about religion.

oh before I left the stores I did have fun reprogramming the heating schedules on the climate control box it will cycle between -10 to 50 degrees cent every day, and then changed the code for it which should take about two weeks for anyone to fix it, it wasn't out of spite though, whim just took me.

The park is a great outlet because people are much more relaxed and I dunno 'free' with the ambiance of surreal artsy stuff all over the place, I sing a lot at work and I find some people joining in.

Cain

Sounds like you have a pretty sweet job, all in all.  Good going on the climate box, btw.
