this should definitely be produced with a beat and a good bassline behind it!

though i don't think this actual audio recording is suitable as raw material but it wasn't intended that way right?
(well, maybe it would work it if you'd apply a noisegate, some editing to make it match the beat closely and then VOCODER -- ultimate panacea :-D )

anyway, the lyrics are good and i can definitely hear this become something great!

Nice lyrics. Audio isn't great, but I can definitely see a beat and bass to go with it.

One question though: would anyone get pissed off if I made my own beat for this?

(and one other question: is my bpm counter right in saying this was done at around 82 bpm?)

LHX, I messed around w/ it, I'll probably post something around 5:30 EST.

I don't mind the vocal quality, It's easy enough to play with.

Best thing that could help was what Uber alluded to-- rap over a click track & let us know what BPM it is.

just a question, out of interest -- if you "process" such a track, do you also cut-n-paste-n-shift the bits of words to have them match the rhythm exactly?

yup.  I couldn't work out exactly what the BPM was, so I cut it up & arranged it so that a stressed word landed on a down, or back, beat.

It's got a pseudo-Wu Tang feel.  But Canadian.

how do you do this cutting and re-arranging? sounds like a LOT of work or are there good tools for it?

you use soundforge or something?
