Are they supposed to be that dark?

Hard to say as I'm not looking at your screen.  I'm dealing with a LCD, and I bet most of y'all have a CRT monitor that you've never calibrated or just prefer dark. 

From the prints I have of these images, my screen is pretty accurate.

Please keep in mind that these will most likely be printed on commercial printers, and xeroxed heavily.


Try printing one out & making 100 copies, and see what happens to the image.

Commercial printing is done via offset lithography nowadays, so I wouldn't be worried in the slightest that a reputable printing company wouldn't carefully preserve the tones in my images. 

I think you mean desktop printers.  And in that case, it's a matter of how well people choose their paper and adjust their machines.  Most inkjet printers, especially epson, are pretty decent.

If you've gotta print with hideous equipment I'll post some heavily posterized versions and possibly black and white.  But unless you ask specifically for it I won't get around to it for a while. 

Keep in mind that you need the high-res files to get an idea of how these print out.  What I posted here are just low-res, "non-printable" jpegs.  I'll try and give a better representation on your heavily black monitors here in a minute...

That's because these are low-res for the computer screen, not for printing.  You'll need more than twice the resolution to get a decent print of them.

I'm not going to just hand out high-resolution files of my work for anybody reading this forum to do whatever the fuck they want with.  I don't have the time right now to sue people so I'm not going to put myself in a position where I'd have to do that.


If you have a specific use for them I'd be happy to hook you up with a print file.  PM me.



I'll need to know specifically what you're going to use these for.  Also at what size.
