TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

I like that, Silly.  Good thinking with the fearless mutuality concept.

fearless mutuality? Soz - I'm kinda stoned, it's prolly really obvious.

"Try agreeing with him, just for the hell of it. Follow it through in your head, taking the side of every counter point that's been made. "

That.

It's got a lot of communication potential.

Okay yeah, understand now, tho I never really saw it as scary, so I can't really relate to 'fearless'. I'd prolly use 'gleeful' if I had to spell it out like that.

I try to make a point of switching sides in the middle of every second argument I'm involved in. Especially if I'm winning.

Self-contradiction is the only way to argue, if you're asking me.

Otherwise you're just forcing ideas on people.  Most people I talk to HATE it when I do that, it forces them to think for themselves.

Switching sides creates all sorts of resolutions which you don't get with the "over my dead body" school. The trick is to switch sides and somehow keep the argument going. The perfect one is to ridicule your own argument and your opponent's at the same time. This is hard as fuck to pull off but it's divine inspiration when you do.

Agreed.

BMW gets irked at me when we discuss things I don't know my own mind on- for this exact reason.
