This kinda shit ain't new by a loooong shot.  Zero-tolerance gets tightened up a notch when school shootings happen.  Then the lassitude sets in again.  This kid probably could've caught a clue his ass would be in a sling, but he obviously weighed the risks and decided to go for it.
