Oh Shit!! This Costume is going to be EPIC. I am very excited too. When you get a chance please post pics of all the great things you have bought for this project so I can get a better sense of what it will look like. I'm picturing something with beads and bright orange trim right now.

Close up, the jet is carved as lotus blossoms, and no two are exactly the same. I nearly died when I saw them, then double-died with the price. But I couldn't resist (so I split them with Leln, who gave me half of the pearls she bought.):

Oh I noticed those funky shoes when I did an image search on Ottoman clothing and I see them there on the pattern too. What's the deal there?

That trim actually looks pretty awesome. When you said orange trim, I was thinking "Ew." But I like it. The designs are cool. I'm getting excited about this costume, too. I can't wait to see it!

So you don't ruin your nice embroidered leather slippers in the mud. They're called nalin or in English, pattens. Pretty much outside shoes only.

Suu, are you still looking for goldstone? That bead shop I was telling you about has it in different sizes (green and blue too). I probably won't be back there for at least a week or two, but if you tell me the size you want I could check for it the next time I go. Sadly, I forget how the prices were per strand.
