RWHN's Annual Rant about the Holidaze

Merry Fuckin Xmas Shlub!

We are a perverse creature, to subject ourselves to the annual month of pressure and expectations that is December.  Striving for the perfect Holidaze season, while lining ourselves up for a seizure.  And as long as I've been wandering around this world, it's always been there.  Though, it would seem as though it has ramped up in the past decade. 

You've gotta get THE perfect gift, THE perfect inflatable decoration for the front lawn, THE perfect Holiday Ham, so on, and so on.

It's amazing how people can annually watch the Charlie Brown special and TOTALLY miss the point of it.  And it's really precious that it's the Christians leading the charge of totally bastardizing what is arguably there most celebrated Holiday. 

But, this is just one of the more known and noted examples of how we, as a set of creatures, strive to put ourselves into tight boxes and to subject ourselves to pressures until our will bows.  It seems as though it is accepted that life must persist in this fashion.  If life is easy, then you are living it wrong. 

Ah well, hey, someone pass the Holiday Cheer!
