Well if I can tie in Rev. Whats-His-Name's thread "If God Wasn't Real, It Would Be Necessary to Invent Him," (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=14453.0) I'd object to the classification of religion as something which suffocates. Because if you don't have a priest saying that God created the universe you have a scientist saying that an explosion created the universe. And those two opposites are playing the exact same role.
