At this point, I might like to issue a challenge:
I have a small scripting company called Four.Seven Limited ( originally 47 Productions, but Four.Seven seemed more aesthetically pleasing ) and I occasionally like to work in allusions to Discordianism which none of my audience would ever catch, but all the better. Anyway, I have found a few ways to connect the number 47 to the number 23 and to 5, but they're all pretty big stretches. I would love to hear what this group can come up with.

Law of Fives on 47:

It's 2 digits.  And by adding 3 it becomes 50.  2 and 3 are 23, 50 is 10 fives.  And 10 is 2x5 and (of course) 5 is 2+3.

If you divide 47 by 2 it's 23.5.

4 is less than 5, also, 7-2 is 5 and 7+3 is 10 (or 5*2), and 2+3=5 (also the connection to 23).
